I am writing to highly recommend Mr. Danny Crowe for your organization. In addition to
my "real job" with a private equity firm, I run a travel showcase baseball organization -
the East Coast Clippers - out of North Carolina. I met Danny approximately 2-3 years
ago on the Elon University campus when he gave our team of high school sophomores
a tour of the baseball and academic facilities at Elon. I was immediately impressed with
his high-energy, upbeat personality.
This past summer I was seeking an assistant coach to help lead our National High
Academic team of rising HS seniors, looking to attend and play baseball at high
academic schools. When Danny's name came up, I instantly jumped at the opportunity
to have him join our staff. I could not have been more pleased with his performance.
Danny was exceptional - he did everything imaginable. He was an excellent coach -
constantly giving each of the players both instruction on the field with proper mechanics
and offering them advice / mentoring them on life as a college baseball player (on and
off the field). He was very well liked by the players, demonstrating his ability to lead
others.
Danny also took the initiative to provide each of the players a summary of each of the
schools that we were visiting for them to familiarize themselves with the university prior
to our visit. These write-ups were well received and helpful, again showing Danny's
leadership and forward-thinking.
In addition, Danny was instrumental in coordinating many of the travel logistics - hotels,
restaurants, activities and directions for the bus driver. The 30-day trip went off without
any problems thanks to Danny's leadership, organization skills, and attention to detail.
Danny will be very successful in whatever avenue he chooses to take. I would highly
recommend adding Danny to your organization.
