What is MAP? • Measuresof • Academic • Progress
MAP is a differentiated test that adapts to the child’s ability.
RIT SCORES 187 Math 133 Reading RIT SCORES142 Math211 Reading RIT SCORES 216 Math 240 Reading RIT SCORES 116 Math 119 Reading Same samebut different!
How is MAP beneficial for teachers and students? Lets the teacher identify and challenge students at the higher end of the RIT continuum Lets the teacher identify and support students at the lower end of the RIT continuum Guides the teacher’s choice of resources to make sure they are appropriate for her student’s needs and abilities Guides the teacher’s lesson planning to make sure that what needs to be taught gets taught
But…I really just want to know how my child did on the MAP test. And…I want to know howmy child compares to the other kids.
