David Geithner IMG Events and On Location COO and EVP Based in New York City, David Geithner is a senior finance executive who serves as chief operating officer and executive vice president of IMG Events | On Location, a division of Endeavor. He was promoted to the role upon the formation of the merged business unit in July 2021. As head of this Endeavor subsidiary, David Geithner spearheads all growth strategy and business development efforts, which includes a focus on mergers and acquisitions. David Geithner has held financial leadership roles at global media companies for the majority of his career. In 2014, he became chief financial officer at Condé Nast, which publishes such leading media brands as The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. Over the course of five years, Mr. Geithner guided strategic planning efforts and oversaw the financial performance of the company. During his tenure, the company doubled consumer revenue to $100 million through creation of a paywall, diversified it’s revenue based and reduced costs through organizational restructuring and the consolidation of real estate assets. Mr. Geithner launched his career in 1992 at Time, Inc., and spent two decades with the company. He first worked as an advertising revenue analyst for TIME before moving on to a similar position at People. Later, Mr. Geithner became general manager of The People Group, serving in this role for seven years before becoming executive vice president of Time, Inc. and president of The Entertainment Group. At the head of Time's largest and most profitable division, Mr. Geithner transformed the business by minimizing its operating costs and diversifying its revenue base. He also oversaw efforts to increase Time's digital revenue, which increased from 8 percent to 15 percent of the company's total revenue under his leadership. Additionally, Mr. Geithner focused on diversifying revenue streams at Grupo Expansión, a subsidiary of Time based in Mexico.
