It is with great enthusiasm that I write to submit my name for a position with your organization. I
have earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master of Public Administration, and a
Master of Arts in Education. I am currently in the writing phase of my dissertation towards an
EdD in Educational Leadership. With 16 years of experience in education, I am confident that I
possess the qualifications required to help your school promote its philosophy and goals.
During my tenure in education, I have had the opportunity to develop and add a plethora of
teaching skills to my repertoire. By using a variety of educational strategies in the classroom, I
have been able to help students become more proficient in completing assigned tasks.
Additionally, I have been successfulat introducing rigor into the content. My primary focus is
student success through rigor, relevance and relationship, differentiated instruction, and 21st
century pedagogical practices.
The depth of my experience has extended beyond the classroom. I have gained diversified
experience and demonstrated success at various levels of education, from 6th
to 12th
grades. In
addition to being a classroom teacher,I have worked with Administration as the Activities
Director. In this Leadership role, I had the responsibility of planning, directing, implementing,
and reviewing the operations of student body activities, student leadership, and student
organizations.
My greatest strengths include collaborative leadership, strategic planning, training educators to
develop their leadership and instructional skills, coordination and leadership in community and
pedagogical programs, and identification/implementation of organizational programs. I have
fostered strong working relationships with local and school communities, and I have facilitated
integration of initiatives designed to enhance the school environment.
As a school leader, I aspired to build a school culture and educational program conducive to
student learning and development, promoting positive behavior, student and faculty teamwork,
and cooperation in the school environment. I initiated and led programs to provide clear, concise
information both internally to professional staff and externally to students and parents. I ensured
that students were held accountable for their behaviors in a consistent and fair manner.
Contributing to the academic growth of students and fostering a positive school culture amongst
staff is a passion of mine.
