The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.
6. If we and our club members foster an ambitious,
positive and supportive atmosphere, the club
members will no doubt feel encouraged to participate and in
turn remain committed for a long time.
Understand the strengths and weakness of the
members and encourage them accordingly.Or
give the members work
according to their area of
interest.So they will work
with full interest and
will be satisied.
Therefore,
7. Everything and anything (events, bulletin,
scrapbook) should be up for evaluation. Just because it
is done that way, doesn’t mean it should continue the
same.
A difference can be made by taking majority interests
of the club members. So that innovative
and different ideas emerge and also our club stays
unique, attracting new members too.Make heads turn
to your club.
So,
8. “YOU” yourself should be an example for other
members or new members or inspire people into
the organisation showing you as an example.
Share your club experience with others.
Motivate members.
Give them responsibilities.
Create more fun.
BRAND or ADVERTISE your club’s activities
Therefore,
9. By taking on our individual responsibility to
become leaders, we not only help
ourselves, we help ourselves, we help
others and the whole global community.
So, make people understand that
ROTARACT created THE LEADER IN YOU,
teach them Rotaract( by giving a good
orientation). By this ,we can raise others
and also our oraganisation.
10. In fact it’s harder to keep members than to get
new ones. A great recruiting pitch may get them
in the door, but it’s how your club functions that’s
going to keep them hanging around.
The ‘5R’s of membership sustenance are:
Give them a
Enforce
Give out
Assign a
Help build
And so,
5
11. If we were asked about how involved and
invested are our members in the club’s success,
What would your answer be?
A successful club is one which can say “WE ARE IN
THIS TOGETHER”
Recognize those who bring forth
ideas.Support and encourage
them.But celebrate success with
the entire club and get everyone
involved.
So,
6
12.
13. Don’t forget to reMEMBER
Review the club roster to identify members
who have become inactive.
Assign club members to contact “missing”
members.
Contact members by phone or with a personal
visit to tell them what’s happening and invite to
the next event.
Conduct a fun meeting to celebrate the club’s
members and accomplishment.
Have the,
7
14. Recognize the strengths of the members.
Take-in their ideas and simply encourage
them.
Re-invent yourself with their ideas ,take up
the transformation and bounce back ,
and the result will be :
“HAPPY COMMITTED MEMBERS”
So,
8
15. “ Motivation is no longer an option,
it is a necessity”
Happy members are those motivated to do good
for the club.
Motivate members to do wonders ,motivate them to
Proudly wear your clubs pin.
Collaborate and work with oher clubs to host
events that are meaningful and enjoyable.By this ,
you can keep the members excited and also can pull
new members.
16. •Bring guests to meetings
•Have an event at malls, fairs or festivals
•Have events that serve the need in the soceity
•Invite family ,friends or co-workers to join.
•Posters in public areas or social networking
sites.
•Invite media
•Create more fun
•Share your club experience with others
•Contact all members who have left in the past
three years and enquire.
17. I am a student who attend the Rotaract orientation at
my college but, didn’t become a member of Rotaract. I
didn’t take it seriously and that time I din’t want to
become a member.
But now, seeing my friend who is in Rotaract,I would
like to join the club . Being a Rotaractor, she does
everythimg in a different way than the other students of
our class. And so I am joining Rotaract this year.

18. I actually wanted to continue in rotaract because it made me realise
that there is a world outside something which is apart from the books
and stuffs and the normal boring routine of a student!. I just cant point
out each coz there is so many reasons. One such specific reason is it
keeps me busy,I love to travel and wander and meet new people make
friends and do something good to society or to the people around
us. Rotaract actually made me think Broader and wider that now i think
socially so much than to think only of my self and my family!. The
experience I got in rotaract can be treasured so that I could take up
these lessons and move to the next level of my life.Rotaract never
depromotes anybody!.I always used to say this"The more you
get into rotaract ,the more it amazes you!" .Its true and that is why I
cant stop getting invloved in rotaract activities .It is my second family!.
I can relate rotaract in every part of my life! Its great to be in Rotaract
and I love to work for it!

19. An important question we should ask every
club member who decides to leave.
No matter what the answer is,
we can use this information to
prevent the same issue causing
others to leave.
