What is UDL? 	“Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework for designing curricula that enable all individuals to gain knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for learning. Where did UDL originate? Ron Mace, an architect during the 1990’s, created the idea that products and the environment should be made so that all people have easy access and find no barriers when working in any environment. “Universal design is the design of products and environments to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design.” Ron Mace Examples – Wheelchair Ramp and Braille on Elevators Colorado State University. How Technology Can Help Technology plays a central role in the Universal Design for Learning.  Without technology, implementing UDL in the classroom would be overwhelming and frustrating.  Technology can help us reach all types of learners during the same lesson.
