1. Essay On Current Events In Nepal
Some of the major current events the Nepali are dealing with include the always volatile weather, which can cause drought or famine depending on
the timing, as well as the formation of a solid political foundation. After large scale elections which are supposed to take place before the new year,
Nepal's constitution will allow for a return to elected prime ministers after a ten year period of control by Maoist insurgents ended in 2006 (The World
Factbook). The current events that most obviously affect the logistical situation in Nepal are the twin Earthquakes that happened in Spring of 2015,
which killed more than 20,000 people and forced efforts toward relief for the numerous who were left homeless, and even town–less (BBC)....show

India to Nepal currently (Tendering Starts). The road system in Nepal is used as the primary means of transport throughout the country. The
Mahendra Highway stretches over 1000 kilometers from East to West across the country. Most of the major highways are in decent condition, but
delays can still happen on these due to inclement weather and traffic buildup (Nepal Logistics). Roads off the main highways frequently suffer from
disrepair and neglect; from simple gravel roads to whole sections of the road being washed out, logistics companies have to plan for delays. Storage in
Nepal is plentifully available for commercial needs in the form of large–scale warehouses, but these are largely operated by the Nepal Food
Corporation and their availability is tied to harvest times. The Nepali Red Cross is one of the only NGOs that operates a warehouse in the country

2. Essay On Current Events
When the majority of people think of summer they think of it as a easy–going time of year with beautiful weather, but it is not all fun and sunshine for
everyone around the world, or even in our own country. Major events are happening all the time, whether they are broadcasted in the news or not. In
this paper I will be talking about a few events that happened over the summer, and how they impacted the world. The first event occurred on August
17, 2017. According to New York Times, and Telegraph Co. UK, what happened on this day is as an act of terrorism, a van violently rammed through
a crowd of nearly one hundred in Barcelona, Spain near Las Ramblas, a popular tourist destination. This event killed at least 13 people, and...show more

I am thankful today that none of these people were seriously injured or ever missing, because I know that is not the case for everyone. As goes for
how it impacted the world, I think that it shows us that accidents can happen at anytime to anyone, even to the most experienced of people. The
last event has been ongoing since mid March 2017, but on July 21, 2017 was named the largest and worst Cholera outbreak. According to
Aljazeera News, in the Asian country of Yemen, over 360,000 cases have been suspected and over 2,000 people are dead because of it in this war
torn country. Cholera is a disease that is spread by contaminated food or water, and causes pain in the abdomen and severe nausea and vomiting.
Sadly, according to the World Food Program, "Over 17 million Yemenis do not know where their next meal will come from." I believe this
impacted myself because it showed me to be grateful for my health, and the privilege i have of getting vaccinated for serious diseases. I believe the
world has been impacted because it is the largest case ever and people are starting to take more action on the spreading and prevention of diseases in
all countries. Even though these events are not directly connected in anyway, a common theme I found between all of them is that people in these
situations keeping an attitude of hope. These are clearly not ideal situations you want to find yourself in, but in any of these situations

3. Current Events Knowledge Essay
The purpose of this project was to determine people's general knowledge of current events. High school students seemed like an interesting population
to survey, with the goal of determining if political issues were important to them and how much they kept up with current events. Simply asking
questions would have been too subjective, and thus an evaluation, done through a survey, of their knowledge would serve as a better indication of how
important current events are to the average high school student. Other surveys regarding current events knowledge have been conducted, however that
information may not be relevant to this particular experiment, given that the data sought for this study was the knowledge of current events among

After performing the test, a chi square value of 126.58 was determined. With a degrees of freedom value of 4, this constituted a p value of 2.101644 x

and prove that knowledge level was limited. Samples were taken from four high schools, but analyzed as one set of data. Through a chi squared
statistical test, it was determined that knowledge level varied at a statistically significant level between questions. If knowledge level was independent
of question, this outcome would have been highly unlikely. The number of students who said they did not know the answer of a question was in fact
dependent upon the question asked. This suggests that teenage knowledge levels on current events issues may not be uniform, but related to the type of
question or topic area. However, the questions themselves may have been somewhat poorly constructed and as such could have led respondents to
select a certain answer choice, which limits applicability of the study. In addition, sampling methods and sample sizes varied between high schools,
which means there may have been some underrepresentation and overrepresentation of certain groups. As such, while the study certainly could warrant
further analysis of the issue, specific findings in this case may not be useful. Misleading questions and varied methodologies inhibit the work's

A recent study was held at the University of Granada and the University of York in Toronto, Canada. This study showed that the working memory, the

mental calculations to the comprehension of a reading, working memory plays a huge part in many activities we perform. The Journal of Experimental

5. Historical Events and Influence on Current Life
Historical events and influence on current life In one way or another all of us have experienced some events which have had an impact on our
lives either positively or otherwise. Iessence this has resulted from the way we view things in different perspectives. These events are influenced
by certain underlying factors which include among them, social historical and geographical location of an individual, geopolitacal events for
example war, can shape people's perception and change their mode of development. Another fundamental factor which comes into play is the
timing of lives whereby we have three types which are core to the effect of influencing the life of an individual, this include; individual time
(ontogeny time), generational time and historical time. The period in life of a person that is an individual's 'childhood, adolescent period or old
age impacts a persons' position in society, the role they play.( Barbara A. Mitchell, 2012). Generational time on the other hand refers to the age
groups in which people are grouped, based upon their age. People born between 1946 and 1964, for example, are often referred to as the baby boom
generation. Finally, historical time where our main focus is based refers to societal or large–scale changes or events and how these affect individuals
and families, such as political and economic changes, war and technological innovations. (Price, S. J et al, 2002) In the period of 1960s, in the history

textile exports because of the six nuclear tests this month. Their decision was to ensure the safety of the citizens of North Korea and I believe it was
the right decision. In my opinion, the continuous back and forth threats show that both leaders do not want to go to war, but their initial goal is to
gain a certain reputation. For example, Trump stated that if "forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North

Emotions are high right now in the United States. Americans are upset with the National Football League over a very personal issue. Many Americans
can relate to this in a personal way because they have family members or loved ones in the military. Kneeling during the National Anthem shows
disrespect to our military, our citizens, and our nation.
One reason Americans are distressed is they have family members or loved ones who have died in the wars for our country, and kneeling during the
anthem shows disrespect to our soldiers and veterans. The players that are kneeling are showing that they don't care about the sacrifices our military
makes on a daily basis. Furthermore, soldiers risk life and limb every single day to give Americans the freedom we have today. TheUnited States has
soldiers all over the world to help protect our freedom. However very few Americans have the bravery to go out and fight for our country and when
players don't even have the respect to stand for our anthem it angers the citizens of America. Another reason kneeling during the anthem is so

8. Essay On How To Teach The Presidential Election
The line between teaching history and current events is often blurred within the field of Social Studies, but every four years comes the Presidential
Election. This is a current event that cannot be ignored given the amount of media attention and personal debates that occur from the national election.
Given these facts, it is nearly impossible not to teach about the ongoing election within school classrooms. After reading Students learn about
candidates, issues, civics it is clear that many different approaches are used to inform students about the presidential election, if the election is even
discussed within the classroom. The methods used for teaching the presidential election varies across grade levels, some lessons are multidisciplinary,
while others focus on Americans civic duties. After reading the article EscalanteMiddle School stands out among the other schools mentioned in the
article. The middle school students are completing a grade wide project to evaluate the different candidates, ballot issues, and initiatives. This is a
very hands on approach that worries less about the personal lives of each of the candidates and more about real world issues. Exposing students to
research on candidate's policies about gun control and immigration allows students to take a deeper look at the policies that make up the United States.
This style of teaching the election is very time consuming and requires a lot of work, but the benefits are very clear. Students gain knowledge

Ultimately, the US Papal Visit was free of incident, and we may never know what threats were averted, if any. It is still impressive to examine the
amount of preparation, contingency planning, and preventative measures were put in place for the Pope's visit and to consider that apart from having

Race and gender have been a very recurrent topic of discussion in the news nowadays. I have chosen a very recent news event for my current event
analysis paper. The Event that I have chosen is centered around gender and racial discrimination. This incident happened recently when a Black doctor –
Dr. Tamica Cross faced discrimination due to her gender andrace on Delta airlines flight in mid–air . The Reading that I have used to connect to the
news event are – "10 Ways racism killed Michael Brown and Eric Garner"by Chauncey Devega, Chapel hill shooting and western media bigotry,
"More Black Men are in prison today than Enslaved in 1850"by Dick Price, "Mapping the Margins: Intersectionality, Identity Politics, and Violence
against Women of Color"by Kimberle Crenshaw, "The Social Construction ofRace''by Ian F. Haney Lopez.
I chose this news event because I was
shocked seeing the discrimination faced by someone of a very high reputed profession because of the color of their skin and the gender. The main
idea behind my current event analysis paper is that how gender and race discrimination overpowers and discriminates anybody regardless of the
profession. The discrimination due to Race and gender should be taken more seriously and their should be qual respect for every Race, Gender as

people's interest as a priority, the numbers are showing that only a small amount of North Korean citizens are benefitting. Kim Jongun, has mentioned
before that he wants the world to look up to his strong country as a nuclear power, rather than just a mere country with multiple sanctions shouting big
words. This in the past has led to various consequences from hegemonies all around the world who feel threatened by the implications of a young
tyrant in charge of ICBMs. This is a clear example of the security dilemma in which the entire world, the anarchy that it is, has to control minor nations
that strive for hegemony at the expense of the larger nations' security and loss of leverage. Unfortunately, it seems that despite the clear warnings from
the superior nations, the North Korean dictator has no interest in abiding by international rules and is far more fascinated with realist ideologies of
projections of power.
