SCOPE OF WORK (SOW)
• Hiring of third party inspector (TPI) for evaluation, assessment and pre-
shipping inspection of extraction units.
• Introduction:
• Phytomedix in J/V with M/s DEA is awarded with a contract to resource two
solvent extraction units for manufacturing oleoresins. These units are
resources/ manufactured by a supplier from china M/s
WENZHOU LIHONG LIGHT INDUSTRY MACHINERY CO., LTD. The units are
manufactured and are ready for inspection in china at supplier’s premises. We
are requested by Phytomedix and DEA to develop SOW for hiring of third party
inspector (TPI) for evaluation, assessment and pre-shipping inspection of

Description and Scope of Work
• Optimum consideration for inspections are to validate this plant with all
utilities (Heat source, cold water/ tap water & pneumatic source) to
actively see the working of plant and evaluate various process
parameter for processing. Unfortunately the supplier does not have the
availability of heat source so a complete Factory acceptance test cannot
be performed.
• So there is a need for overall assessment, evaluation and pre-shipping
inspection to see the status of plant and to compare it with tender
specifications as well as documents provided by supplier. This may
include;

2.2 Key objectives of assignment:
• To estimate, evaluate and inspect various components of “extraction
plants” are quantitatively & qualitatively as per suppliers quoted list
(“Price & Specification_Final.pdf”) by supplier which is developed in
the guidance of tender specifications (Technical specifications PO
CNFA-AMD).
• To evaluate and inspect that “extraction plants” (as well as all the
fittings, components and accessories), overall parameters and
specifications are at par with plant design and drawings, specified in
document named “Plant - component Design & Drawing .pdf” by
supplier.

KSP-2 Polishing treatment: All vessels inner wall fine polishing, sanitary grade no
dead corner, in line with GMP requirements; external surface matt treatment.
KSP-3 All material and process contact surfaces food surfaces are SS 304 food grade
with hygienic design to ensure GMP.
KSP-4 Connecting Material between machines, piping’s, fittings & valves are SS 304
