Η ελληνική ναυτιλία αποτελεί τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες τον σημαντικότερο
«παίκτη» της διεθνούς οικονομίας. Η ελληνική οικονομική κρίση δεν εμπόδισε
τους ελληνόκτητους στόλους να συνεχίζουν να είναι οι κυρίαρχοι των θαλασσών.
Στην ετήσια έκθεση 2014-2015 της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Εφοπλιστών αναφέρεται ότι ο
ελληνόκτητος στόλος αυξήθηκε σε χωρητικότητα (dwt) και μειώθηκε ελάχιστα σε
αριθμό πλοίων, εξακολουθώντας να παραμένει στην πρώτη θέση της παγκόσμιας
ναυτιλίας.
Την 1η Ιανουαρίου 2015 ο Ελληνόκτητος στόλος αποτελούσε σε dwt το 18,6% του
παγκόσμιου στόλου. Ειδικά στην κατηγορία των Crude oil carriers το ποσοστό του
Ελληνόκτητου στόλου παγκοσμίως ανέρχεται στο 26,6%. Επίσης η ελληνική
σημαία κατέχει την έβδομη θέση στην παγκόσμια κατάταξη, ενώ στην ΕΕ
κατέχει το 46,48% (σε dwt) και τη δεύτερη στην ΕΕ (σε gt).
Σημαντική είναι επίσης η συνεισφορά της ελληνικής ποντοπόρου ναυτιλίας προς
την ελληνική οικονομία αντιπροσωπεύοντας περίπου το 7% του ΑΕΠ. Κορυφαίοι
παράγοντες της ελληνικής ναυτιλίας πιστεύουν ότι μπορούν αυτά τα μεγέθη με
κατάλληλες πρωτοβουλίες να αυξηθούν σημαντικά.
Το Ναυτικό επιμελητήριο Ελλάδος με εκτενή μελέτη «Αναπτυξιακή Εθνική Ναυτιλία
και Στρατηγική» μεταξύ άλλων προτείνει την ανάπλαση του «Ελληνικού» ως
επέκταση του ναυτιλιακού κέντρου του Πειραιά, τη δημιουργία σταθερού φιλικού,
νομοθετικού και φορολογικού περιβάλλοντος που θα φέρει ανάπτυξη καθώς και
την αναβάθμιση της ναυτικής εκπαίδευσης και των Α.Ε.Ν.

Η ανάγκη ελέγχου της ναυσιπλοΐας, της ασφάλειας των πλοίων καθώς και της
διαρκώς εξελισσόμενης τεχνολογίας έκαναν απαραίτητη την ανάγκη δημιουργίας
ειδικών οργανισμών που ονομάστηκαν Νηογνώμονες.
Νηογνώμονας ονομάζεται ο εκάστοτε ναυτιλιακός τεχνικός οργανισμός που
καταρτίζει κανονισμούς ασφαλείας, τόσο επί της ναυπήγησης των πλοίων όσο
και επί του εξοπλισμού τους, κατατάσσοντας αυτά σε κλάση (classification). Με
ειδικούς δε επιθεωρητές (surveyors) τα παρακολουθεί καθ΄ όλη τη διάρκεια της
ζωής τους, είτε με περιοδικές είτε με έκτακτες επιθεωρήσεις.
Τα πιστοποιητικά που εκδίδουν οι Νηογνώμονες για ένα πλοίο είναι απαραίτητα
για τη ναύλωση, ασφάλιση και πώλησή του.
Όπως είναι γνωστό περισσότερο από το 90% του παγκόσμιου διακινούμενου
φορτίου, σε χωρητικότητα, καλύπτεται με θαλάσσια μεταφορά, από τα πλοία.
Η ανάγκη δημιουργίας τέτοιων οργανισμών ήταν αισθητή από τους αρχαίους
χρόνους. Στην αρχαία Ελλάδα λειτουργούσαν παρόμοιοι που με διάφορες
παραλλαγές μέσω των Ρωμαίων και των μεσαιωνικών χωρών διατηρήθηκαν μέχρι
το τέλος του 17ου αι.
Ο θεσμός των Νηογνωμόνων πρωτοεμφανίστηκε στο Λονδίνο πάνω από 200 χρόνια
πριν. Ήδη από τη δεκαετία του 1760 οι ασφαλιστές των Lloyd’s είχαν θεσπίσει
κανονισμούς για την κατάταξη σε κλάσεις των ξύλινων πλοίων και εντεταλμένοι
επιθεωρητές εξέδιδαν πιστοποιητικά για την αξιοπλοΐα τους.
Ο πρώτος με διεθνή επιρροή νηογνώμονας, ο Lloyd Register of Shipping, ιδρύθηκε
στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία του οποίου η εξέλιξη και επί σειρά ετών μονοπωλιακή
επικράτησή του οφείλεται κυρίως στη Βρετανική θαλασσοκρατορία κατά τους
τελευταίους πέντε αιώνες.
Είναι γεγονός πως η αγγλική επίδραση σε όλα γενικώς τα ναυτικά ζητήματα
υπήρξε τόσο σημαντική,ώστε και αυτή ακόμα η Ναυπηγική να θεωρείται αγγλικό
δημιούργημα.

RINA Hellas, the Greece-based arm of the interna-
tional RINA Group, is strengthening its position in the
market and the range of services offered to its Greek
and Cypriot clients.
The recent launching of a dedicated research and in-
novation centre in Piraeus is the latest news in that
direction. RINA’s RD/Innovation Centre will boost
the research and innovation activities of RINA world-
wide and will explore further research opportunities
in Greece and Cyprus, in close cooperation with the
EU and the strong maritime community in the region.
Initially the RINA Hellas RD/Innovation Centre is
participating in an EC research proposal under the
HORIZON 2020 scheme. This proposal brings togeth-
er an international consortium to develop models
and tools for the holistic optimization of ships’ life
cycles.
Spyros Zolotas, RINA Area Manager for Greece and
Cyprus, says, “RINA is committed to providing high
quality services and to being in the forefront of tech-
nological developments so as to assist its clients per-
form better in today’s competitive market. The RD/
Innovation Centre in Piraeus will add a new higher
dimension and extend the range of services offered
in the area though the Piraeus Marine, the Plan Ap-
proval Centre, the Marine Technical Support Centre,
the Yachting Centre, RINA Academy Hellas and Limas-
sol Survey Station.”
Stefanos Chatzinikolaou has been appointed to lead
the Centre. He is a Naval Architect and Marine Engi-
neer, with a background of ten years as a research
engineer at the Laboratory for Maritime Transport of
the National Technical University of Athens.
The clientele of RINA in the area includes the top
Shipping Companies operating their fleets of Bulk
Carriers, Oil and Chemical Tankers, Ro-Ro Passenger
Ships, Containerships, Liquefied Gas Carriers and
others, from Greece and Cyprus. Today the Greek
controlled fleet counts over 300 ships for a Gross
Tonnage of about 6.0 million GT and is steadily in-
creasing regarding Ships in Service as well as with a
considerable number of newbuildings. RINA Hellas is

κατά τη διάρκεια των επιθεωρήσεων μέχρι το πλοίο να οδηγηθεί προς διάλυση, και
σύμφωνα πάντοτε με τους κανονισμούς του Νηογνώμονα που έχει πάρει κλάση το
πλοίο.
Αφορά κυρίως την τοποθέτηση των κυρίων μηχανών, γεννητριών, συστημάτων
πρόωσης και πρόσδεσης καθώς και σωληνουργικών, ηλεκτρολογικών, ηλεκτρονικών
και fire fighting συστημάτων εγκεκριμένων από τον Νηογνώμονα ως προς την
εγκατάσταση αλλά και ως προς τη λειτουργία τους.
Πρέπει να τονισθεί ιδιαίτερα ότι, σ’ένα προμηθευτή και πιθανόν και εγκαταστάτη
δεν αρκεί μόνο η αξιοπιστία του εξοπλισμού, αλλά και η έγκαιρη παράδοσή του στο
ναυπηγείο ή στο πλοίο εντός των συμβατικών υποχρεώσεων.

It all started three decades ago in Piraeus, when Marpo Marine was founded. Initially the
company was trading galvanic anodes and providing corrosion engineering services for the
marine industry. Over the years, the company expanded its activities by manufacturing high
quality Zinc and Aluminum galvanic anodes.
In 2004 the company introduced a quality management system conforming to ISO 9001 and
was certified by ABS.
Today the company is producing in excess of 1000 tons of galvanic anodes annually, which are
mainly exported to the European market. In addition, the company is trading galvanic anodes
and providing cathodic protection services worldwide through associated companies in the
USA, Europe, Singapore, China and UAE.
In 2005, the Marpo Marine division dealing with Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP)
and Marine Growth Prevention Systems (MGPS), formed a new company and Worldwide
Corrosion Services (WCS) was founded at Hellenicon, Greece. Today, the company is providing
engineering services (support and design) for Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP)
and Marine Growth Prevention Systems (MGPS), for marine, offshore and onshore projects.
WCS maintains a large stock of spare parts for a wide variety of systems and has a team of
experienced engineers capable of designing or servicing any system.

The newest member of the Marpo Group is Marine Technical Solutions (MTS), which was founded

HAWSER PROTECTION SLEEVES
Captain Nemo can manufacture HAWSER PROTECTION SLEEVES made of 100% high tensile polyester slings, for mooring
rope diameter 24mm to 104mm. The use of protection sleeve will drastically improve the life-time of mooring ropes. The
sleeve can be easily applied around the hawser at the exact spot where it is needed because of the two large Velcro strips.
Eyelets, one on either side, enable the crew to secure the sleeve in the right position on the hawser.
MAGNETIC CLAMPS FOR PILOT LADDERS
They are manufactured to offer the best possible retention for the pilots. They are light enough (approx. 5kg),
but they have too strong clamping force (approx. 400kgs). Always accompanied with technical data, instructions

The American College of Greece – DEREE, launched a new
award in September 2015 in Shipping Management, the
BSc (Hons) Shipping Management, addressing a new era
in maritime education, and responding to the growing de-
mands for highly skilled professionals in the shipping and
other related sectors.
The shipping industry has undergone enormous changes
over the past decades. Globalization has reshaped trade
patterns, new international regulations have created new
challenges for market practitioners and digital applica-
tions have completely transformed the communication
and negotiation processes. At the same time, the gradual
introduction of new technologies and practices is affecting
the operational and structural characteristics of shipping
business. Technological innovations are applicable to vari-
ous aspects of shipping, such as navigation, ship design
and construction, propulsion systems, cleaner fuels, emis-
sions reduction, ballast water treatment, ship equipment,
chartering decision making, port facilities, etc.
The aforementioned factors have significantly enhanced
the efficiency of shipping-related activities and functions,
while minimizing the risk of accidents and environmen-
tal pollution. On the flip side, they have increased the
complexity and sophistication of this industry, redefining
jobs and business processes. Therefore, there is a press-
ing need for well educated and trained individuals who
can quickly adapt to a demanding work environment, and
utilize their knowledge and skills to effectively address a
variety of challenges.
In this context, DEREE has developed a carefully designed
curriculum placing emphasis on the practical side of ship-
ping, while at the same time providing a sound and exten-
sive theoretical knowledge of the different dimensions of
Shipping Management.
The successful completion of level 4 courses (Introduc-
tion to Shipping, Maritime Operations and Ship Technol-
ogy, Maritime History, Introduction to Logistics and Sup-
ply Chain Management, Applied Statistics, Business Legal
Issues, Management Principles and Financial Accounting)
equips student with a firm understanding of key concepts
in Shipping Management, offering insights on its interac-
tion with the external environment.
Level 5 courses enable students to progress in their knowl-
edge and to enrich their educational experience with
modules such as Maritime Economics, Managing People
and Organizations, International Shipping Policy, Business
Driven Information Technology, Corporate Finance, Trans-
portation Systems, Business Research Methods and Port
Administration and Logistics. In this respect, students will
deepen their understanding of the elements and features
of the diverse shipping environment, as well as develop
their analytical skills.
Finally, Level 6 courses include six compulsory modules
(Shipping and Marine Insurance Law and Practice, Ship-
broking and Chartering, Carriage of Goods by Sea and Law
of International Trade, Maritime Financial Management,
Seminar in Shipping Management and Strategic Manage-
ment), as well as two electives which may be selected
from courses such as International Trade, Business Nego-
tiation, Short Sea Shipping, Cruise Shipping, Cross Cultural
Management in Shipping and Maritime Human Resource
Management.
Upon completion of all levels, students will be able to
demonstrate detailed and up-to-date knowledge of key
theories and practices and they will also have the skills to
critically assess information and synthesize various sourc-
es to solve complex problems in Shipping Management.
Students may benefit, as well, from the study abroad and
internship opportunities offered through the College, and
they are also encouraged to attend a variety of guest lec-
tures and forums organized on campus, where they can
meet people from the industry and expand their horizons.
Drawing on the preeminent reputation of DEREE and
its strong ties to the Greek shipping community, gradu-

ALBA Graduate Business School was founded in 1992 and
operates under the auspices of the Hellenic Federation of
Enterprises (SEV), the Hellenic Management Association
(HMA) and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Indus-
try (ACCI), as a not-for-profit educational association of 89
Greek corporations (including well known shipping compa-
nies like, Arcadia, Navios, Paragon, Star Bulk, Thenamaris
and Top Ships among others).
At the end of December 2011, ALBA Graduate Business
School and The American College of Greece (ACG)
formed a strategic alliance aiming to create a top inter-
national educational institution in Greece. Since then,
ALBA is the Graduate Business School of the American

Shipping and Finance.
Moreover, ALBA shipping programs are supported by the
Masters and Mates Union of the Greek Merchant Marine,
the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association, the Internation-
al Propeller Club (Piraeus) and WISTA Hellas, offering
several partial scholarships and financial aid.
The latest development of ALBA Shipping programs is
the Shipping Business Advisory Committee (BAC).
The committee consists of select senior professionals
that support our shipping programs and ensure that the
content of the programs is in line with the most recent
developments in the shipping industry.
For the academic year 2015 -2016, more than a hundred
of Greek and foreign graduate students enrolled in the
three shipping programs of ALBA making ALBA one of

58. The socialist version of MET*
The winsome year 1981, was the one that salvation happened to the Country and , this was under a sensational flag
of convenience named Aλλαγή∙ but I’m not sure about the exact meaning of it, if any. The party that raised the said
flag wasn’t a party but a Socialist Coup (κίνημα) and it was imported from, no other place but, the renounced global
hub of freedom which means free economy, free enterprise and free of capital controls.
In theory socialism implies a social organization and government, whereby, the citizenry jointly owns the means of
production and distribution and, the power of administrative control is vested in the state. A classless happy society
is the teleological end.
In our case this theory was put into practice as an art of spin and misdirection, by any party (or “Coup”) that governed
the country since 1981. Besides these parties used to wield trade guilds as a political force, encouraging strikes or
students mobilization. It’s no surprise that shipping policy is firmly a sham, no reason to mention MET, at all.
Hundreds of books, there are trying to say, what socialism is and, they are all under central direction, in practice the
renowned doctrine amounted to very little: except that it is hugely expensive and set up what is, in fact a rival and
duplicating bureaucracy that is astonishingly ineffective. Which, as we very well know, leads to bankruptcy. In the said
winsome year 1981 about 35 nautical schools were functioning in the country with an output of 3000 new, young
officers per year – Deck or Engine. 10 of the above were run by the state, the others by commoners. 150 foreign stu-
dents (Arabs) were attending, living in Piraeus hotels. About 110.000 was the force of the Officers – Deck Engine.
Today about 3000 young aspirants, apply per year for a seat in the public Marine Academies. Only 800 are accepted
– about 300 graduate and actually follow a shipping carrier.
Private marine schools were abolished in the winsome year.
It has, lastly to be mentioned that : a great concern of the electorate in this country, is, the “just” distribution of
wealth, but, there never was some concern about creating wealth. On the contrary those who try to create wealth
are denounced as speculators and profligate profiteers. And that, the said electorate, relatively educated or relatively
illiterate can be persuaded to support “original” to “radical” initiatives which speak volumes about their woeful under-
standing on the economy, or the general condition of the nation.
Needless to say that democracy relies on citizens capable of eventually casting the correct vote.

1.ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΗ
Με δεδομένο ότι το κατά κεφαλή
εξαγωγικό εισόδημα της Ελλάδος είναι
το χαμηλότερο της Ευρώπης, η διαρκώς
επαναλαμβανόμενη άποψη ότι η
Ελλάδα δεν παράγει επώνυμα προιόντα
και υπηρεσίες που προσφέρουν αξία,
είναι πέρα για πέρα αληθινή.
Η νοοτροπία του ‘’χύμα’’ και
του βολέματος ήταν τα κύρια
χαρακτηριστικά και στη Ναυτική μας
Εκπαίδευση όπου ακόμη και η λέξη
‘’ιδιωτικοποίηση’’ εξορκίζεται σαν
διαβολικό στοιχείο ακόμη και σήμερα
που όλα καταρρέουν, εκτός βέβαια από
την ίδια την Ναυτιλία μας.
2.ΠΑΡΟΥΣΑ ΘΕΣΗ ΚΑΙ ΠΡΟΟΠΤΙΚΕΣ ΤΗΣ
ΝΑΥΤΙΚΗΣ ΜΑΣ ΕΚΠΑΙΔΕΥΣΗΣ
Με δεδομένο τον Δημόσιο χαρακτήρα
της Ναυτικής αλλά και της Ναυτιλιακής
εκπαίδευσης η εικόνα που εμφανίζεται
είναι η εικόνα ενός εκπαιδευτικού
μοντέλου:
2.1. Χαμηλού κόστους
2.2. Χαμηλού εκπαιδευτικού επιπέδου
2.3. Αυξημένης εσωστρέφειας
2.4. Ανίκανου να προσαρμοσθεί στις
ταχύτατες αλλαγές της Ναυτιλίας και
2.5. Συνεχούς απαξίωσης
Με δεδομένο επίσης, την ύπαρξη
ενός θεσμικού πλαισίου, μουσειακού
περιεχομένου, που σαν κύριο στόχο
και μοναδικό μέλημα των εκάστοτε
κρατούντωνείχεκαι έχειτηνδιατήρηση
τού βολέματος της πελατειακής τους
βάσης, το μοντέλο είναι καταδικασμένο
σε πλήρη απαξίωση που τα σημάδια της
είναι ιδιαίτερα ορατά στα τελευταία έξη
χρόνια της κρίσης που όλοι βιώνουμε.
3.Η ΕΝΑΛΛΑΚΤΙΚΗ ΠΡΟΤΑΣΗ
Για να προσδιορισθεί επακριβώς ποια
θα μπορούσε να είναι η εναλλακτική
πρόταση στην Ναυτική και Ναυτιλιακή
εκπαίδευση, με γνώμονα πάντα την
θετική συμβολή της στην παρούσα
κρίση,θαπρέπεινατηνπροσδιορίσουμε
σαν ένα νέο μοντέλο με συγκεκριμένα
χαρακτηριστικά, όπως:
3.1.Τονυψηλόβαθμόπαραγωγικότητος
3.2. Τον αναπτυξιακό του χαρακτήρα
3.3. Την αυξημένη του εξωστρέφεια
3.4. Την δυνατότητα να απαντά
στις προκλήσεις της Ναυτιλιακής
Βιομηχανίας
3.5. Την υψηλή ποιότητα των
παρεχομένων εκπαιδευτικών του
υπηρεσιών
3.6. Την δυνατότητα στην έρευνα και
καινοτομία
3.7. Την δυνατότητα να απευθύνεται σε
στοχευμένες αγορές
3.8. Την δυνατότητα να επιτυγχάνει
την διαφοροποίηση
3.9. Την δυνατότητα να εκμεταλλεύεται
το ισχυρό brand name της Ναυτιλίας
μας
3.10. Να εκμεταλλεύεται τα
ανταγωνιστικά πλεονεκτήματα της
χώρας μας
Επομένως, ένα μοντέλο απαλλαγμένο
τελείως από την αρνητική παθογένεια
που χαρακτηρίζει την Δημόσια Ναυτική
και Ναυτιλιακή μας Εκπαίδευση και
που μπορεί να δημιουργηθεί μόνο από
πρωτοβουλίες μη κρατικών φορέων.
Σε μια εποχή παγκοσμιοποίησης της
γνώσης, η ιδιωτική πρωτοβουλία
αποτελεί την μόνη εγγύηση, ώστε το
παρεχόμενο από αυτήν εκπαιδευτικό
προιόν να αντιμετωπίσει με επιτυχία
τον ανταγωνισμό τόσο εντός όσο και
εκτός των συνόρων.
Ειδικώτερα για την χώρα μας, το
‘’εντός των συνόρων’’ έχει ιδιαίτερη
σημασία, αφού από την νέα
ακαδημαική περίοδο 2015-16, μόνο στο
κέντρο του ναυτιλιακού Πειραιά θα
παρέχονται στους ενδιαφερομένους
τρία μεταπτυχιακά Ναυτιλιακά
προγράμματα από πολύ γνωστά
πανεπιστήμια του Λονδίνου.
4.Η ΔΙΕΘΝΟΠΟΙΗΣΗ ΤΗΣ ΝΑΥΤΙΚΗΣ ΚΑΙ
ΝΑΥΤΙΛΙΑΚΗΣ ΜΑΣ ΕΚΠΑΙΔΕΥΣΗΣ
Η διεθνοποίηση της Ναυτικής μας
εκπαίδευσης αποτελεί μονόδρομο
με πολλαπλά οφέλη για την χώρα,
ιδιαίτερα στην σημερινή αρνητική
συγκυρία, όπου κυρίαρχο στοιχείο
αποτελεί και το απαράδεκτο για την
χώρα με την μεγαλύτερη ναυτιλία στον
κόσμο, να μην διαθέτει ένα διεθνές
κέντρο Ναυτικής Εκπαίδευσης.
Για να επιτευχθεί όμως αυτή η
διεθνοποίηση θα πρέπει να υπάρχουν
εκπαιδευτικοί φορείς που:
4.1.Να λειτουργούν με ξεκάθαρη
φιλοσοφία και όραμα
4.2.Να έχουν προσδιορίσει τις
εκπαιδευτικές τους αξίες
4.3.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς για τον
εκσυγχρονισμό και την βελτίωση των
εκπαιδευτικών τους προγραμμάτων
4.4.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς για την
μείωση του κόστους παροχής των
εκπαιδευτικών τους υπηρεσιών,
χωρίς όμως να αλλοιώνεται το υψηλό
επίπεδο τους.
4.5.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς στην έρευνα
και την ανάπτυξη
4.6.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς στις νέες
τεχνολογίες για την δημιουργία νέων
προγραμμάτων υψηλής προστιθεμένης
αξίας.
4.7.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς στην
βελτίωση του συνόλου του ανθρώπινου
δυναμικού τους (διοικητικού και
εκπαιδευτικού) με στόχο την επίτευξη
υψηλού επιπέδου επαγγελματισμού.
4.8.Να διαθέτουν ευελιξία
προσαρμογής των εκπαιδευτικών
τους προγραμμάτων στις εκάστοτε
θεσμικές και τεχνολογικές μεταβολές
της ναυτιλιακής βιομηχανίας
4.9.Να έχουν πιστοποιήσεις
από διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένους
οργανισμούς πιστοποίησης και διεθνή
ινστιτούτα.
4.10.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς στην
έρευνα αγοράς για τον εντοπισμό
διεθνών αγορών όπου μπορούν να
προωθήσουν τα εκπαιδευτικά τους
προγράμματα
4.11.Να επενδύουν συνεχώς στην
έρευνα αγοράς για τον εντοπισμό
των πραγματικών αναγκών της
ναυτιλιακής βιομηχανίας, ώστε τα
εκπαιδευτικά τους προγράμματα να
ανταποκρίνονται με ακρίβεια σε αυτές
τις ανάγκες
4.12.Να επιδιώκουν σταθερές και
μακροχρόνιες σχέσεις με τους
αποδέκτες των ναυτιλιακών τους
προγραμμάτων με στόχο την φήμη,
την καταξίωση και τα ανταγωνιστικά
πλεονεκτήματα που αυτά παρέχουν
4.13. Να επιδιώκουν συνεργασίες με
άλλους διεθνείς φορείς εκπαίδευσης,
εγνωσμένης αξίας
5.ΕΠΙΛΟΓΟΣ
Η σημερινή σκληρή για την χώρα
μας πραγματικότητα μας επιβάλλει
να απαντήσουμε στο ερώτημα που
εύλογα προκύπτει από την ανάλυση
που προηγήθηκε και το οποίο είναι το
εξής:
Μπορεί η Δημόσια Ναυτική και
Ναυτιλιακή μας Εκπαίδευση, σταδιακά
να βρεθεί στην, για όλους μας
επιθυμητή θέση που θα επιτρέψει
στη χώρα, με την μεγαλύτερη ναυτιλία
στον κόσμο, να γίνει διεθνές κέντρο
ναυτιλιακών σπουδών;
Η διατύπωση της απάντησης είναι
μάλλον περιττή γιατί όλοι την
γνωρίζουμε!

Πλεονέκτημα)
Είναι σημαντικό θέμα, αν θέλουν οι
νέοι μας να πορευτούν επαγγελματικά
σε έναν εξαιρετικό κλάδο ,αυτός σίγουρα
είναι ο τομέας της Ναυτιλίας.
Στον κλάδο αυτόν η Ελλάδα
πρωταγωνιστεί παγκοσμίως , όπως επίσης
είναι και πολύ μεγάλη η τεχνογνωσία που
έχει αναπτυχθεί τα τελευταία 50 χρόνια
στις Ναυτιλιακές Επιχειρήσεις μας. Η
μεγάλη πρόκληση που παρουσιάζεται
για τους νέους μας, είναι ότι μπορούν
να σπουδάσουν Ναυτιλιακές Σπουδές
στην Ελλάδα, αποκομίζοντας έτσι,
εκτός από την επιστημονική και την
τεχνική εφαρμογή των αντικειμένων που
σπουδάζουν. Ναυτιλιακές Επιχειρήσεις
υπάρχουν σε πολύ μεγάλο βαθμό στην
Ελλάδα και στις Σκανδιναβικές χώρες.
Πολύ λίγες ναυτιλιακές επιχειρήσεις
συγκριτικά με την χώρα μας υπάρχουν
στα υπόλοιπα ευρωπαϊκά κράτη. Το
ίδιο παρατηρείται και στην Αγγλία, που
εκεί έχουν ανάγκη επικέντρωσης των
σπουδών τους στα Container, στα Λιμάνια
στα Logistics και φυσικά στο Transport.
Επομένως στην Ελλάδα, οι Ναυτιλιακές
Σπουδές έχουν συγκριτικό ανταγωνιστικό
πλεονέκτημα , αφού ο κλάδος αυτός
είναι εντυπωσιακά ανεπτυγμένος , και
είναι συνολικά περισσότερες από 700
ναυτιλιακές επιχειρήσεις συγκεντρωμένες
και λειτουργούν πολύ αποτελεσματικά
στηνΑττική.
Με αυτή την διαδικασία οι Ναυτιλιακές
Σπουδές στην Ελλάδα παρέχουν την
δυνατότητα στους συμμετέχοντες:
• Να διδαχτούν ένα ενδιαφέρον
εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα στις ειδικότητες
του Shipping, Logistics transport Man-
agement.
• Να αποκτήσουν ένα σύνολο από
γνώσειςκαι να αναπτύξουν τις ικανότητες
τους μέσα από τρία ολοκληρωμένα
καινοτομικά στάδια :α) Θεωρητικόμέρος
β) Πρακτικό Μέρος και γ) Βιωματική
εμπειρία
• Να κατανοήσουν θεωρητικά
επιστημονικά πεδία που συνδράμουν
ουσιαστικά και στηρίζουν την μεγάλη
βιομηχανία της ναυτιλίας.

προσεγγίσεις που αξιοποιούνται στο
Shipping συμμετέχοντας σε πολλά case

και γονιμοποιώντας τις πρακτικές και
τις επιστημονικές γνώσεις τους που
προέρχονται από άλλα επιστημονικά
πεδία.
2.Ο ΚΛΑΔΟΣ ΤΗΣ ΝΑΥΤΙΛΙΑΣ
Η διαχρονική διαδρομή της Ελληνικής
Τέχνης, του Ελληνικού πολιτισμού
και γενικά της Ελληνικής Κουλτούρας
στο Διεθνές Εμπόριο και τη Διεθνή
Ναυτιλία, συνυπάρχουν με τις έννοιες
της Ναυτοσύνης, της Πλοιαρχίας, της
Οικονομίας , τηςΔιοίκησης και Οργάνωσης
ναυτιλιακών επιχειρήσεων, της
Παγκόσμιας Ναυτιλιακής Πρωτοπορίας,
της Ναυτιλιακής Επιχειρηματικότητας,
ΣτρατηγικήςκαιΗγεσίας.
Ο κλάδος της Ναυτιλίας των Μεταφορών
και των Logistics, που απαριθμεί περί
τις 700 Ναυτιλιακές Επιχειρήσεις, 400
Ναυλομεσιτικές επιχειρήσεις και περί τις
600 επιχειρήσεις Μεταφορών και Logis-
tics, αποτελεί τη μεγαλύτερη συγκέντρωση
(cluster) επιχειρήσεων αυτού του τομέα
στονκόσμο.
Η παγκόσμια πρωτοπορία της Ελληνικής
Ναυτιλίας είναι πόλος έλξης των νέων που
θα επιθυμούσαν να έχουν μια διεθνών
προδιαγραφών καριέρα με αξιοπρεπή
ανταμοιβή και σε εξαίρετη ποιότητα
εργασιακούπεριβάλλοντος.
Πρέπειναείναιόραματουσημερινούνέου
να διεισδύσει σε έναν υγιέστατο και πολλά
υποσχόμενο διεθνή κλάδο όπως είναι η
Ελληνική Ναυτιλιακή Επιχείρηση, όπως και
οιάλλεςεπιχειρήσειςτουΚλάδου.
3.Η ΕΞΕΛΙΓΜΕΝΗ ΝΑΥΤΙΛΙΑΚΗ ΕΚΠΑΙΔΕΥΣΗ
Η εκτίμηση είναι ότι απασχολούνται περί
τα 250.000 άτομα στις επιχειρήσεις αυτές,
με καλές αμοιβές, που αν προσθέσουμε
και τους απασχολούμενους στις παρά
- ναυτιλιακές επιχειρήσεις , ο αριθμός
ποσοτικά ανεβαίνει πολύ. Εννοούμε
βεβαίως τα στελέχη που απασχολούνται
στα γραφεία των επιχειρήσεων και
συμπεριλαμβάνονται τα πληρώματα και οι
αξιωματικοίτωνπλοίων.
Έτσι στο ερώτημα, τι είδους εκπαίδευση
απαιτείται για την πρώτη βιομηχανία
της χώρας ( η οποία είναι στη παγκόσμια
πρωτοπορία), τη Ναυτιλιακή Βιομηχανία,
τι θα μπορούσε να προσφερθεί ως
εξειδίκευση , δηλαδή τι είδους εκπαίδευση
χρειάζονται τα μελλοντικά στελέχη
του ναυτιλιακού κλάδου, αυτά που
προσδοκούν να εισέλθουν στη ναυτιλιακή
βιομηχανία, όπως επίσης τι είδους
εκπαίδευση χρειάζονται τα ήδη υπάρχοντα
στελέχη του ναυτιλιακού τομέα, την
απάντηση παρέχει το SBΕ. Το SBE έχει
επεξεργαστεί συγκεκριμένα προγράμματα
γιακάθεομάδαενδιαφερομένων:
1. Για τους νέους που είναι Απόφοιτοι
Λυκείου ή ΙΕΚ, χρειάζεται μια
ολοκληρωμένη παρακολούθηση σπουδών
πανεπιστημιακού επιπέδου, αποκλειστικά
στο επιστημονικό και τεχνικό πεδίο
των Ναυτιλιακών Σπουδών, τέτοια
προγράμματα προσφέρονται με επάρκεια
στην Ελλάδα από το SBE τα τελευταία 29
χρόνια. (βλέπε Shipping, Transport Logis-
ticsManagement).
2. Για τους νέους πτυχιούχους ΤΕΙ και ΑΕΙ
επιστημονικών πεδίων, όπως δηλαδή
Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων, Οικονομικών ,
Νομικών, Διεθνών Σχέσεων, Ναυπηγών
κ.α., πρέπει να επιλεγεί ένα εκπαιδευτικό
πρόγραμμα Ναυτιλιακών Σπουδών που
είναι συντομότερο χρονικά , αλλά και
επαρκέστατο σε περιεχόμενο για να
μπορέσουν να ανταποκριθούν τα άτομα
αυτά στις ανάγκες του ναυτιλιακού
κλάδου. Και οι δυο κατηγορίες πρέπει να
εκπαιδευτούν σε κατάλληλα μαθήματα
όπως έχει επεξεργαστεί με την 29χρονη
εμπειρία του το SBE (βλέπε τα 18 Executive
Diplomas).
3.Για εργαζόμενους ήδη στο ναυτιλιακό
τομέα μπορούν να επιλέξουν
προγράμματα σπουδών ταχύρρυθμα ή
μεγαλύτερης διάρκειας, ανάλογα με τις
ανάγκες του ενδιαφερόμενου στελέχους
όπως επίσης και με την ήδη υπάρχουσα
υποδομή, γνώσεις (επιστημονική
μόρφωση-ουσιαστικήκαιτυπική)τουκάθε
ενδιαφερόμενου.
Σε αυτές τις περιπτώσεις το SBE προτείνει
ειδικά προγράμματα σπουδών που είναι
επεξεργασμένα και εφαρμόζονται με
εξαιρετικά αποτελέσματα ( βλέπε 44 Ad-
vanceCourses).
4. Για στελέχη ναυτιλιακών επιχειρήσεων
με εργασιακή εμπειρία άνω των 5 ετών
το SBE έχει επεξεργαστεί και προτείνει τα
18 Executive Diplomas, όπως επίσης και τα
Advanced Courses, ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες
και τις φιλοδοξίες προσωπικής ανάπτυξης
κάθεστελέχους.
5. Για Πλοιάρχους Ε.Ν. και Μηχανικούς
Ε. Ν., Α', Β' ή Γ' τάξης προσφέρονται
ειδικά προγράμματα Shipping, ώστε να
συνεχίσουν την ευδόκιμη υπηρεσία τους
μέσαστιςΝαυτιλιακές επιχειρήσεις.

Το ναυπηγείο αποτελεί μονάδα - χώρο που ανήκει σε ιδιωτική επιχείρηση ή στο
κράτος άμεσα ή έμμεσα με αντικείμενο τη ναυπήγηση - κατασκευή, επισκευή,
μετασκευή ή συντήρηση εμπορικού, πολεμικού πλοίου ή πλωτού ναυπηγήματος.
Είναι μια ιδιαίτερη μονάδα ( εντάσεως εργασίας ) βαριάς βιομηχανίας λόγω της
μεγάλης του εξειδίκευσης στην τεχνολογία και επεξεργασία υλικών.
Τα σύγχρονα ναυπηγεία είναι πλήρως αυτοματοποιημένα με ρομπότ, μηχανές
CNC, τηλεκατευθυνόμενους γερανούς κλπ.
Πολλά ναυπηγεία αναλαμβάνουν επίσης και διάφορες άλλες εργασίες , εκτός από
τη ναυπήγηση πλοίων , όπως παράκτιες και υπεράκτιες κατασκευές , βιομηχανικές
κατασκευές καθώς και τροχαίο υλικό.
Υπάρχουν όμως και ναυπηγεία για μικρότερα σκάφη (πλαστικά ή ξύλινα) με
αντικείμενο κι αυτά τη ναυπήγηση - κατασκευή, επισκευή, μετασκευή ή συντήρησή
τους.
Τα σύγχρονα ναυπηγεία είναι ιδιαίτερα αυτοματοποιημένα με ρομπότ , μηχανές

Our company has “in house” fully equipped work-
shops for painting, GRP lamination, mechanical,
stainless steel, electrical, air tubes manufacturing
assembly, carpenters, draughtsman’s area, de-
sign office, controlled environment conditions pro-
viding suitable values of temperature and humidity
in the laminating workshop and air tubes manufac-
turing workshop, and different storage areas de-
pending on the requirements of each material. The
testing tank within our facilities, allow us to fully
test boats up to 16.0m. All the above, give our com-
pany the advantage of a complete control over our
production quality and standards.
Our company has a certified Quality Assurance System
according to EN ISO 9001/2008 by TUV Austria concern-
ing manufacturing, repairing and maintaining pleasure/
commercial boats, yachts and lifeboats.
Our facilities have been inspected, and our compa-
ny’s QA system have been audited by Lloyds Regis-
ter of Shipping on clients request and found suit-
able for building lifeboats and FRCs.
PRODUCTION
• PLEASURE and COMMERCIAL RIB (Rigid Inflat-
able Boats). We are producing our own range of
pleasure RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boats), 14 different
types from 2.4m to 10.0m. Our standard production
range of commercial RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boats) is
9 different types from 5.0m to 12.0m.
Customized layouts and designs for many different
applications like military and patrol, passengers or
goods transportation, daily tourist cruises or diving
have been developed over the years.

We are producing 3 different types of pleasure

As subcontractors, we are producing lifeboats ap-
proved by USCG, Lloyds Register of Shipping and
ABS, on behalf of a globally leading company in
manufacturing and servicing life saving equip-

water tanks, cabin parts for ships etc), GRP pon-

• REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
One key point of our company’s philosophy is that
we do not just construct a great variety of boats,
but that we provide complete support to our client
after the sale, providing services of maintenance
and repairs either on site or at our facilities, even
for boats that are not produced by KORMOS SA.
Over the years, our company, with our experienced
technical personnel, skilled service engineers, and
the cooperation with specialized companies as
necessary, we have manage to undertake and suc-
cessfully deliver repair/refurbishment projects of
extreme difficulty.

Στις θαλάσσιες τηλεπικοινωνίες τον τελευταίο αιώνα έχουν γίνει εντυπωσιακές
αλλαγές.
Μετά την εποχή των σηματορών και των σημαιών (σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις
ισχύουν και στις μέρες μας) η ηλεκτρονική επικοινωνία άλλαξε δραστικά τη
θαλάσσια επικοινωνία.
Από τις αρχές του προηγούμενου αιώνα ξεκίνησε η επικοινωνία, με την εγκατάσταση
του ραδιοφώνου στα πλοία, μεταξύ των πλοίων καθώς και πλοίου και στεριάς
χρησιμοποιώντας των κώδικα Μορς.
Με τις μελέτες της Διεθνούς Ένωσης Τηλεπικοινωνιών τη δεκαετία του ’70 ο Ι.Μ.Ο.
επέβαλε ένα αυτοματοποιημένο σύστημα μεταξύ των πλοίων αλλά και πλοίου με
τη στεριά απαλλάσσοντας τον «μαρκόνη» από τη διαρκή 24ωρη βάρδια επάνω
στον ασύρματο.Η επικοινωνία μεταξύ των πλοίων γίνεται με VHF και για μεγάλες
αποστάσεις με τα μεσαία κύματα (MF) ή τα βραχέα κύματα (HF).
Η εξέλιξη των δορυφορικών θαλάσσιων επικοινωνιών πλέον βοηθά το μέγιστο και
για περιοχές όπου τα σήματα που εκπέμπουμε λόγω μεγάλης απόστασης ποτέ δεν
φθάνουν.
Εξίσου σημαντική είναι και η δυνατότητα πρόβλεψης καιρού και θαλασσίων
ρευμάτων.

Είναι γενικώς αποδεκτό ότι η εφοδιαστική αλυσίδα είναι ένα πολύπλοκο σύστημα
που «αγγίζει» πολλούς «εμπλεκόμενους»: εταιρίες που ασχολούνται με τη
διαχείριση πρώτων υλών, την παραγωγή, μεταποίηση και συσκευασία προϊόντων,
την αποθήκευση και διανομή, τις μεταφορές, τα καταστήματα λιανικής πώλησης και
φυσικά τους τελικούς καταναλωτές. Γι’ αυτό το λόγο είναι ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό να
λειτουργεί σωστά σε όλα τα στάδιά της, δηλαδή με τη μέγιστη ταχύτητα, μηδενικά
έως ελάχιστα λάθη, ευελιξία, με τον απαραίτητο συγχρονισμό, το χαμηλότερο
