1. Initiated a $36MM housing project to renovate existing residence halls and develop new housing.
Expanded beds on campus by 700.
Participated in the Annual Association of College and University Housing Officers program
assessment for six years with results showing the SPSU Residential Life operation was one of the top
small residential life programs in the entire southeastern United States.
Awarded Staff Member ofthe Year (2002) by the SPSU Student Government Association in
recognition of outstanding service and consistent support and advocacy for students.
Trained University Conduct Boards to ensure procedures were followed and students received fair
and expeditious hearings.
Developed a unique community service program that enabled students assigned community service
as an outcome of a judicial hearing to be matched with meaningful community service experiences:
Program participants never entered the student conduct system for a second offense.
Many students who participated in this program established long term relationships with
their community service supervisors and became outstanding students.
