Christ, God allowed forty years of access to
temple genealogical records so that Israel could
verify the credentials and claims of His Son. Then,
in A.D. 70, the Romans attacked Jerusalem and
destroyed the city and temple. For nineteen
centuries following that Roman victory, Israel had

no temple and no national homeland. The Jews
who had been living in the Promised Land were
scattered throughout the world. In 1948, Israel
was reestablished as a nation and miraculously
protected by God from a continual series of
attacks by enemy countries who opposed and still
