Whenbeginningthisproject, bythisstage Iwouldhave hadbotha TV and printadvertcreated,but
due to Coronavirusmeasuresandworkingathome withlimitedresourcesIhave onlycreatedthe
poster.I didbegintocreate a TV advertwhile workingfromhome butafterfilmingsome shotsI
decidedIwouldjustfocusonthe printadvert andput my focusintothat.Due to nothaving
photoshop,Iendedupcreatingmyposteron Publisher.
Whencreatingmy poster,Idecidedtouse a colourful 80s inspiredpatternforthe background, asI
believeit’snottoobusybutis still effectivewithitsdifferentbrightcoloursconnotatingapositive
feel.Iwantedmypostertobe informativeandclear,andI believeIhave achievedthiswiththe
differentfactsused.Iuseda fontwhichiseasyto read, andusedimagerytolinkinwithitsfocus.I
thinkmyfinishedproductcouldline toanyage category,while the targetaudience isteenagers.
I believemyposterfitsthe brief aswe were askedtocreate somethingthatmakespeoplesmile,and
afterreceivingfeedbackIbelievemyposterachievesthatinthe pointitis gettingacross. We were
askedto create somethingwithanoutcome thatmotivatespeople of mycommunitytosmile to
reduce stressandhelpimprove mental health.Ithinkmyfinished productachievesthisasItalk
uponmental healthandhowmusiccan helpusall in differentways.Ithinkthe informationIhave
includeduponmyposterfitsthe brief wellasIchose a topicwhichappealstomostteenagersinthe
modernage – music.By choosingthistopic,I feltitwasappropriate as mostpeople of my
communityspendalotof time listeningtomusic.Aswell asthis,duringplanningIreaduponthe
statisticsof mental healthwithinmyage categorydue to the Pandemicandthe resultswere
upsetting.Ithinkmypostershinesalightonsomethingwe canall involve ourselvesin,thereforeI
thinkmeetsthe brief.
If we weren’tinlockdown,Ithinkusingphotoshopmyposterwouldlookmore professional thanit
doesrightnowand wouldinclude more imageryperhaps.Aswellasthis,Ibelieve Iwouldhave had
a complete TV advert.Ialso thinkIwouldhave completedmytasksata quickerrate,asbeingin
lockdowndidhave aneffectonmy mental healthandworkingsince IfeltIhadno motivationand
struggledtostay ina routine.
Overall IthinkI createda posterwhichfitsthe brief givenandwouldhelpwithmental health.
