2. Challenge: ICICI Bank had merged with ICICI to form the second largest bank in the
country. It had recruited and acquired a large number of non banking and non sales
people. There was a need to upgrade those individuals skills and knowledge.
Besides they were quite a few people acquiring manager status and hence coaching
and performance feedback were important gaps in the organisation.
Solution: Because of the large numbers of trainees and IT enabled nature of the bank,
ICICI went the elearning route. Hence sales simulations, product and process
knowledge was given to the employees on their desktops. The usage and skill level
increased very quickly. Also the confidence of the managers to give structured
feedback and coaching improved across ICICI Bank.

Editor's Notes
This application on coaching and counselling simulation was integrated with the existing LMS at ICICI Bank. Hence the opening screen is the login screen. Once you login, the complete tracking is handled by the application.
You are welcome to go directly into the case or go through the concepts sequentially.
Case data gives us the background data about the counsellee. Sheets like the goal sheet are included here.
The discussion tab gives you the script of the discussion till where you have taken the discussion.
At any point the content can be referenced by clicking on Reference Content tab.
A mentor keeps coming into the screen and giving useful hints.
A help screen letting us know how to navigate the course. It tells us how a wrong option would take us to a dead end and not let us move further.
It also tells us how a dead end would need to check the flow we took and the reference data.
As you enter the case you are given the complete background data about the counselee.
This data is useful in making an intelligent choice about the counselee.
The goal sheet helps us with detailed information about the progress in the year.
You then are able to interact and draw inferences about the counselee.
The counselee then pops up to give us hints and guidance.
In the diagnostic phase you give options to the counselee.
Hint keep coming up at regular intervals
At any stage you can access the background information.
Next you draw out the conclusions in the conversation with the counselee.
You get hints at regular intervals.

This is accompanied with the access to the content slides.

Once you complete the counseling case you can access the complete feedback.
The feedback gives us the choice that we accessed and the right choice in the program. Thus we know why we made right and wrong choices through out the program.
