Since desistance is about discovering agency,
interventions need to encourage and respect
self-determination; this means working with
offenders not on them
(McCulloch, 2005; McNeill, 2006).

  • 18. Dissemination • The User Voice Since desistance is about discovering agency, interventions need to encourage and respect self-determination; this means working with offenders not on them (McCulloch, 2005; McNeill, 2006).
