2. Scope and objectives of
the action
The "BYZART - Byzantine Art and Archaeology on Europeana" action:
• aims at making about 75.000 new cultural and artistic multimedia
contents accessible online through the Europeana platform
• features collections of newly digitized photos, video and audio
contents from previously unexploited archives, as well as
reconstructions about Byzantine history and culture.

3. The "BYZART - Byzantine Art and Archaeology on Europeana" action:
• enhances Europeana accessibility and visibility, by linking and
classifying Byzantine-related items already on Europeana platform
to Byzart collection.
• has devoted specific attention to multilingual enrichment, by
collecting all the features and tools already available (from other
projects or institutions) and has created a proper BYZART
vocabulary
