Upcoming tasks for the energy charter
• Cooperation between the FIWARE Foundation and the Linux Foundation LEF Program
• Standardization of Smart Energy services based on FIWARE components
• Evaluation of the SAREF data-models as a starting point for the discussion on data models
standardization
• Evaluation of the possibility to work with DG Energy and the CEF (Connecting Europe Facility)
team to expand the use of the Context Broker building block to the CEF Digital Energy domain
• Support to the FIWARE community in developing solution to implement new concepts of “local
energy communities” (e.g., how renewable sources can support communities to implement “energy
neutral” environments)
• Adoption of block-chain technology to support the development of new “prosumer” oriented
business models
• Defining the role of FIWARE in supporting the architecture for new Smart Energy marketplaces
• Defining the role of FIWARE in designing new systems to implement grid monitoring systems
• Defining the role of FIWARE in supporting the development and standardization of technologies
for the E-Mobility domain.
