after completion of the CSEC Music
Examination. Suggested training can be
found at:
• Universities
• Private Institutions
• Internships with established musicians,
managers and producers.

9. Finding Work
• Some small enterprises employ in-house music
professionals, however, the vast majority of jobs
are as independent contractors and freelancers.
• Jobs are largely filled via word of mouth,
networking and quality work.
• It is advisable that a student of music gains
experience in multiple fields and not limit
themselves to 1.
