the air pressure andtime settingscausingahighlevel of frustrationwiththe operators. This attempted
firefightinvolvesairpressure compensation. Pressure sensorsare usedtoadjustairpressure and
software tomake hourlyadjustmentstoairpressure forthe operator. Thisis a classicexample of how
firefightingbyproductsof aroot cause problemwastestime andmoney. Automatingthe problemisn’t
a longterm solution.
The root cause of the problemisair pressure,andthe issue cannotbe ignored. Byeliminatingair
pressure fromthe fluiddispensingprocess,byproductproblemscanbe eliminatedandfluiddispensing
systemperformance will exceedmanufacturers’desiresandexpectations.
