Middelfart Hospital. Neurosurgical spine surgery. Development of minimally invasive and
microsurgical spine operation methods.
October 2011 to march 2013, part-time practicing specialist consultant in neurosurgery at
Spine team, Aleris-Hamlet Private Hospital.
April 2011 to april 2015, part-time practicing specialist consultant in spinal surgery at Spine
Surgical Clinic, Give Free Clinic, Region of Southern Denmark.
December 2009 staff specialist at the Surgical Spine Center, Southern Denmark,
Middelfart Hospital.
November 2009 to April 2011, part-time practicing specialist consultant in neurosurgery at

January 2006 to November 2009 fulltime specialist consultant in neurosurgery at
SpineCenter, Moelholm Privat Hospital, employed exclusively in the diagnosis and
treatment of degenerative and neoplastic disorders of the spine. During this period,
performed more than 800 spine operations with minimally invasive microsurgical operation
method.
Extensive experience in Cervical and lumbar stabilization techniques.
During employment at the neurosurgical departments extensive experience in cancer,
fracture and intra spinal tumor surgery.

Many years of experience in diagnostic nerve blocks in the facet joints and neuroforamina.
In the period March 2001 to 31/12 2005 employed as a staff specialist at the Neurosurgery
Dept. Odense University Hospital.
1998 to 2006 employed at the neurosurgical department Odense University Hospital.
During this employment involved in the treatment of traumatic conditional spine fractures,
and degenerative and neoplastic disorders of the spine. Special interest and responsibility
in the treatment of vascular and neoplastic problems in the brain and spinal canal,
including the introduction of Image Guided Neuro Navigation. From 2003 responsible for
the development and daily operation of neurotraumatologi, neuro intensive therapy and
neurorehabilitation. Participated in reviewing and developing the manual for
multidisciplinary trauma reception at Odense University Hospital, and participated in the
pilot project to introduce early Neuro Rehabilitation of patients with moderate to severe
brain damage.
Education:
1990, medical degree, University of Southern Denmark.
1992 to 2000 employed at the neurosurgical departments in Glostrup, Aarhus and
Odense.
1994 to 2000 training position in neurosurgery in various neurological and neurosurgical
departments Aarhus Municipal Hospital and The Neurosurgical department Odense
University Hospital.
January 2000, specialist in neurosurgery.
Teaching:
May 1994 to May 1998 employed as a clinical associate professor of neurosurgery,
University of Aarhus.
May 1998 to December 2005 clinical associate professor of neurosurgery, Odense
University.
After obtaining recognition as a specialist served as a graduate teacher of doctors, nurses,
chiropractors and physiotherapists.

Danish Neurosurgical Society. Chairman during the period of 2000 to 2003. In the period
from 2003 to 2006 member of the Trauma Committee.
