There were so many
Israelites in Egypt that the
Egyptians became afraid
of them. They decided to
make the Israelites their
slaves.

2. ‫كا‬ ‫ين‬ّ‫ائيلي‬‫ر‬‫اإلس‬ ‫أن‬ ‫ن‬‫عو‬‫فر‬ ‫أى‬‫ر‬‫و‬‫ن‬

‫ائيلي‬‫ر‬‫اإلس‬ ‫األطفال‬ ‫جميع‬ َ‫قتل‬ُ‫ي‬‫ين‬
‫النيل‬ ‫نهر‬ ‫في‬ ‫برميهم‬ ‫الذكور‬.
The Pharaoh saw that the
Israelites had many
children so he told his
soldiers to throw all the
baby Israelite boys into the
Nile River.

3. ‫ا‬‫ر‬‫ذك‬ ‫طفال‬ ‫ية‬ّ‫ائيلي‬‫ر‬‫إس‬ ‫أة‬‫ر‬‫ام‬ ‫ت‬َ‫د‬َ‫ل‬َ‫وو‬ ‫ة‬‫ر‬‫صو‬.‫النيل‬ ‫نهر‬ ‫في‬ ‫عائمة‬ ‫سلة‬ ‫في‬ ُ‫وضعاه‬ ‫وزوجها‬ ‫هي‬.‫أ‬ ‫وكانت‬‫خته‬
‫له‬ ‫سيحدث‬ ‫ماذا‬ ‫ى‬‫لتر‬ ‫اقب‬‫ر‬‫ت‬ ‫األكبر‬.
An Israelite woman gave birth to a baby boy. She took a basket, put her baby on it
and put the basket on the river. The baby’s older sister stood nearby to see what
would happen to him.

4. ‫السلة‬ ‫ن‬‫عو‬‫فر‬ ‫ابنة‬ ‫أت‬‫ر‬‫ف‬ ‫ة‬‫ر‬‫صو‬
‫بداخلها‬ ‫ونظرت‬.‫أت‬‫ر‬ ‫وعندما‬
‫ولدا‬ ‫لها‬ ‫إتخذته‬ ،‫الطفل‬.
Pharaoh's daughter came to
the river and saw the
basket. When she opened it
and discovered the baby,
she decided to adopt him.

5. ِّ‫ة‬َ‫ن‬ْ‫ب‬‫ال‬ ِّ‫ل‬‫ف‬ِّ‫الط‬ ُ‫خت‬ُ‫أ‬ ْ‫ت‬َ‫ل‬‫قا‬َ‫ف‬َ‫ن‬ ْ‫و‬َ‫ع‬‫ر‬ِّ‫ف‬:«ْ‫َل‬‫ه‬
ِّ‫حض‬ُ‫أ‬ َ‫و‬ َ‫َب‬‫ه‬‫أذ‬ ْ‫أن‬ ‫ي‬ِّ‫ف‬ َ‫ين‬ِّ‫ب‬َ‫غ‬‫ر‬َ‫ت‬ِّ‫ك‬َ‫ل‬ َ‫ر‬

Miriam, the child's sister, asked
the princess, "Should I get you
an Israelite nurse to help you
care for the baby?“
"Yes, please," the princess
replied. Miriam then went
and got her own mother.

6. ‫لترضعه‬ ‫الطفل‬ ‫الدة‬‫و‬ ‫استأجرت‬‫و‬.
‫ا‬ ‫ته‬ّ‫سم‬ ُ‫د‬َ‫ل‬َ‫و‬ْ‫ل‬‫ا‬ َ‫ر‬ِ‫ب‬َ‫ك‬ ‫ا‬َّ‫م‬َ‫ل‬َ‫و‬‫ن‬‫عو‬‫فر‬ ‫بنة‬
‫موسى‬.
The baby’s mother became
his nurse. When the child
was older, his mother
brought him to the palace.
The princess adopted him
and named him Moses.
