Background
Economic situation reinforced the urgent need for companies to internationalise their businesses
- Only 4% of SMEs have plans to become internationally active in the coming years;
One of the barriers to the internationalisation is particularly the domain of foreign languages;
There is a close link between the domain of language and success and profitability in the
business;
Besides the SMEs and micro companies have to deal with other barriers to internationalisation:
know how detect the needs of their costumers, identified the most appropriate routes to market,
determinate their competitive advantage;
SMEs which are clearly and strategically investment in staff internalisation skills are achieving a
44% more export sales.
It’s necessary to answer these needs through the development of practical and appropriate
learning solutions that improve the internationalisation skills of the SME and micro companies
staff.

Generic objectives
Reinforcing interpersonal and intercultural competencies relevant to the SMEs
internationalization and e-marketing/e-commerce in order to facilitate European
competitiveness;
Supporting the development of innovative ICT-based content accessed by a mixed of online
and mobile platform and based on a Serious Games approach;
Bridging the worlds of personal and cultural valorization within work by supporting SMEs
managers and Higher Education students throughout individual and flexible learning
pathways;
Promoting cooperation between Universities, VET and world of
work;
Developing the integration of learning with working life, by promoting more learning
conducive environments at the workplace as a basis for development of vocational skills
relevant to the labor market needs in a globalised world.

Specific objectives
Ensuring the quality, functionality and suitability of the learning digital scenarios and
platform by piloting testing actions involving key end-users;
Spreading out information on the project and its results, in order to guarantee its visibility
and future sustainability.
Determining the crucial learning needs for SMEs
internationalization;
Designing and producing innovative learning resources (role-
playing game scenarios) able to support the
internationalization between European countries, using real
situations in professional contexts;
Development of a platform & digital’s scenarios,
available on online and mobile technologies;

GABALL project - 531327-LLP-1-2012-1-PT-KA2- KA2MP Background Economic situation reinforced the urgent need for companies to internationalise their businesses - Only 4% of SMEs have plans to become internationally active in the coming years; One of the barriers to the internationalisation is particularly the domain of foreign languages; There is a close link between the domain of language and success and profitability in the business; Besides the SMEs and micro companies have to deal with other barriers to internationalisation: know how detect the needs of their costumers, identified the most appropriate routes to market, determinate their competitive advantage; SMEs which are clearly and strategically investment in staff internalisation skills are achieving a 44% more export sales. It’s necessary to answer these needs through the development of practical and appropriate learning solutions that improve the internationalisation skills of the SME and micro companies staff.

GABALL project - 531327-LLP-1-2012-1-PT-KA2- KA2MP Generic objectives Reinforcing interpersonal and intercultural competencies relevant to the SMEs internationalization and e-marketing/e-commerce in order to facilitate European competitiveness; Supporting the development of innovative ICT-based content accessed by a mixed of online and mobile platform and based on a Serious Games approach; Bridging the worlds of personal and cultural valorization within work by supporting SMEs managers and Higher Education students throughout individual and flexible learning pathways; Promoting cooperation between Universities, VET and world of work; Developing the integration of learning with working life, by promoting more learning conducive environments at the workplace as a basis for development of vocational skills relevant to the labor market needs in a globalised world.

GABALL project - 531327-LLP-1-2012-1-PT-KA2- KA2MP Specific objectives Ensuring the quality, functionality and suitability of the learning digital scenarios and platform by piloting testing actions involving key end-users; Spreading out information on the project and its results, in order to guarantee its visibility and future sustainability. Determining the crucial learning needs for SMEs internationalization; Designing and producing innovative learning resources (role- playing game scenarios) able to support the internationalization between European countries, using real situations in professional contexts; Development of a platform & digital’s scenarios, available on online and mobile technologies;
