2016โข Objectives
โ Bring together and engage the international community to further the
discussion related to a OW strategy;
โ Enable a process whereby a more holistic understanding of OW issues may be
shared across sectors and jurisdictions more readily and consistently;
โ To explore potential approaches to improve management for complex cross-
jurisdictional issues connecting a human element with animal welfare
incidents, such as hoarding and farm animal welfare issues involving
challenges including mental health;
โ Provide stakeholders an opportunity to promote proactive leadership by
engaging in the development of solutions related to OW issues;
โ Conduct a training session on Critical Incident Management Solutions to
support the mental health of the responders dealing with these difficult
situations and conditions.
