You know when an employee feels targeted
by management? Well, what I do is have a sit
down with them and get to know them better. In
fact, I once had an employee complain to me about
feeling targeting in her faults. I took her to lunch and asked her about her
life. I discovered she is a very strong scheduling. Since she was actively
working in contracts- and making a lot of mistakes- I moved around my
team and put her where she is strongest. Because she felt more
comfortable there, her attitude became more positive and she was able to
learn contracts better without the pressure of it being perfect.
