Literacy Team and Andrea Hillbrick 2011

*Narrowing focus to just writing for 2011.

*Focus on specific text type with students each term. The text type
will be explored the term before with Andrea Hillbrick and whole
staff.

Eg. We looked at Persuasive Writing last term (4, 2010) and that
becomes our focus with students in term 1 2011.

We want to become really good at these text types, it is still
expected we cover other text types.

Term 1 Persuasive

Term 2 Descriptive

Term 3 Poetry

Term 4 Information Report



*Base our understanding of text types of the ones listed in ‘Jenny
Eather’s, Writing is Fun’.



*When you have team time with Andrea Hillbrick this will now be
based on planning with your team rather than observation of lesson.



*Focus on displaying success criteria and students setting own
writing goals.
