Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a
useful form of energy, such as using wind
turbines to make electricity

 fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely
 distributed, clean, produces no
 greenhouse gas emissions during

A large wind farm may consist of several
hundred individual wind turbines which are
connected to the electric power transmission
network. Offshore wind power can harness the
better wind speeds that are available offshore
compared to on land, so offshore wind power’s
contribution in terms of electricity supplied is
higher.

 Compared to the environmental impact of
  traditional energy sources , the
  environmental impact of wind power is
  relatively minor. Wind power consumes no
  fuel, and emits no air pollution. This is unlike
  fossil fuel power sources.

Wind turbines produce no carbon dioxide
(CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur
dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2),
radioactive waste, particulates, or any other

sources.
