The GreenPalm program is a web based certificate trading platform allowing retailers & manufacturers to offset their annual palm usage, supporting certified sustainable palm oil growers. Certified growers convert their physical palm & palm kernel volume into palm, palm kernel and palm kernel expeller certificates. Offers for these certificates are placed on the GreenPalm market, each certificate represents one tonne of certified sustainable palm, palm kernel oil & palm kernel expeller. Retailers and manufacturers, who use palm oil, palm kernel oil or any of their derivatives and fractions in their products bid for certificates equal to the physical usage of palm they want to claim against.
