3. What is PAN?
A Permanent Account Number
(PAN) is an identification
number that identifies an
individual as a taxpayer in
Nepal.
PAN is also known as Tax Payer
Identification Number (TPIN),
and the document on which
the number is printed as PAN
card and PAN certificate.

4. Tax Clearance Certificate
A Tax Clearance Certificate is a verified
document from Inland Revenue office or
listed government body a person or entity
has paid all its tax liabilities at the time
(Fiscal year).

1. Visit IRD Portal
https://ird.gov.np/
2. Go to the Taxpayer Portal

6. 3. Go to the General/Taxpayer Login
(If first time login: username, Pan No. and Password are same (Enter Your PAN
no.)

7. 4. If you forget password, go to forget password and input your PAN number, set
new password.

password will received in
your registered Email and
mobile number.

dashboard, you need to update
the KYC/KYT

9. 7. After update KYC/KYT, login
again and go to the
WithHoldee information page
8. Need to set the date type,
BS or AD, then need to set
the transaction date (1 fiscal
year date)

10. 9. After search, display the tax deposited details (Deducted Tax deposit details)

11. 1. Summarize the document:
1.1 Company’s letter (Co. Provided)
1.2 Application for Tax clearance
1.3 TDS on sources deposit document
1.4 Payroll Breakdown (Co. Provided)

Note: If an individual has only sources of income
from employment. Compilation of documents can be
differ in the case of multiple sources of income

12. 2. If all documents are ready, you can submit to the IRO
office where your current office has been registered.
If all documents are correct, you can receive Tax
clearance Certificate within 1-2 hours or depending on
the mass of applicants.
Note: If an individual has multiple sources of income
including employment like freelancing, advising, shares,
land etc.. then need to submit the documents at PAN
registered tax office.
Incase PAN registered office is too far like out of district,
submit to the nearest tax office with reason.
