HDF Explorer is a data visualization program that reads Hierarchical Data Format files (HDF, HDF-EOS and HDF5) and also netCDF data files.HDF Explorer offers a simple yet powerful interface for the visualization of HDF data. The data is just a click of the mouse away. Data is first viewed in a tree-like interface, and then optionally loaded and visualized in a variety of ways. HDF Explorer features include fast access to data, grid, scalar and vector views. It also allows exporting your data either as a ASCII text file or a bitmap image. HDF Explorer supports HDF5 dimension scales.

5. Grid View
• An Excel like grid with each cell an element
datum

6. Discrete Map View
• Data is visualized as a map of colors. The colors are
associated with a discrete range of values.

7. Map options
• In the Draw options dialog box the user can choose to
draw the color of each cell and to draw a grid
surrounding each cell.

9. Fill options
•
Ignore or not a fill value in the making of the map, that
is, the fill value is not translated to a color. The user also
has an option to draw the fill value border in the grid.
