2. Magazine Pictures – Double

which were not used
This is the picture which I was initially going to use for
my double page spread, however I decided not to use
this picture, the reason I didn’t use it was because the
musician in the photo does not look straight at the
camera which is a negative factor, as in all photos
whether it is for a magazine or not for a magazine the
person who is in the picture should look straight ahead
so that people can interpret what the picture is telling
them.
The reason for me not using this picture is also the
same reason why I did not the first picture, the
musician should be looking into camera, so that it
looks like he is saying something that can be
interoperated by the reader of my magazine, it
should follow conventions of typical magazine
pages.

These are the pictures which I initially used for my
magazine double page spread, now as I explained the
reason for which I didn’t use my first pictures were that
they did not follow any of the typical magazine
conventions, which were that the person on the
magazine page should directly look in to camera so that
the reader can interoperate what the picture or what the
story is about, it signifies the meaning behind the story, it
helps to attract my target audience as there is a lot of
collaborations which are happening in the Bhangra music
world, it also gives the connotation that Asian and
American stars are coming together which appeals to my
target audience as they will then break out and be more
open towards their music as they see this.
