Next Gen Leaders Michigan Women Forward’s Next Gen Leaders program helps high school girls explore college and career paths while participating on a college campus. Participants learn immediate practical skills on interviewing, resume writing, and more to help prepare them for their next steps after high school.

  4. 4 Business Case Challenge - Grand Rapids Through SuitUp, volunteers and students participated in a SuitUp business competition with Michigan Women Forward in which they designed a new product or service for AT&T that promoted a positive and healthy well-being. Volunteers coached students in various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize. MWF Impact SuitUp asked students if Michigan Women Forward’s SuitUp competition made an impact on their future career choice. 93% of students said that engaging with the volunteers influenced their career choice and now they can see themselves using skills such as communication, teamwork and public speaking. Students are now interested in exploring the following fields: Business Administration / Entrepreneurship 52% Education 18% Graphic/Web Design 17% Fashion Design 38% Financial Services 3% Marketing 31% Media/Public Relations 10% STEM 4% Other 28%
