Technology is the accumulation of strategies, abilities, techniques,
and procedures utilized in generation of goods and services. The term
technology is wide and everyone has their own way of understanding
the meaning of technology. Technology can be the learning of systems,
forms, and so forth, or it can be installed in machines to do various
operation without point by point information of their workings. We
utilize technology to broaden our capacities, and that makes
individuals as the most critical piece of any mechanical framework.
In modern era, masses are totally depend on technology. We are
totally covered by different types of gadgets. It has many pros and
cons. Technology is very useful in everyday life but sometimes, it have
bad impacts on our lives.
6. REASONS FOR SOCIAL ISOLATION
• Undoubtedly, technology made our life easy, it reduces the barriers between the countries. Now, we easily connect with masses who are
living abroad.
• We isolate ourselves by walking around in our own little world, tuning in to our iPod or staring at the screen of the most recent cell
phone even when we are around other individuals. Technology causes people to suffer from mental and emotional illness, such as anxiety
and depression, which are all the side effects of neurosis

• Improves the means of communication with others.
• Helps to aim better living and gather information easily. Also, it is the best source of
entertainment.
• Enabled better, more proficient, more gainful transmission and access of data among the
general public individuals.
• Has enhanced the procedures, structures, and working of the society, including social
contact crosswise over borders and beating other physical barriers to social contact globally.
• As an evidence, In historical times, masses used letters as means of communication and it
also takes a lots of time to reach to another individual, Whereas, technology introduces
various types of breakthroughs like mobile phones and internet which are used to contact
with other individual anytime at any place.

disadvantages.
• Some breakthroughs has proposed that serious and broad innovation utilize
represents a danger to the human personality's imagination and creativity.
• We are wasting our money and time on non-serious things. Also, it leads to cyber
crime.
• The excessive dependence on technology will effect our social life and relationships,
we become isolated from the society. Moreover, it effects on our health, by staring
on mobile screens our eyesight become low.
• Some masses are addicted to technology, example, nowadays, masses
• Excessive use of technology is linked to fatigue, depression and stress.

Mobile Phones: Due to the advancement in technology, mobile phones is the basic device
which are used by the masses of every age group. With the effect of time, mobile
phones are installed with various types of new applications or software's which can
make an individual busy all the time, which further leads to social isolation and
neurosis. Most of the people communicating with text.
Social Media: Social media also plays a vital role in everyone’s life. It is a great way to
connect with others via social sites such as, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. often,
masses compare themselves with others on social media. Also, it reduces the
interaction between the people face to face.
Video Games: In modern era, video games becomes favourite things for adults. It can lead
to increased hand/eye co-ordination. But, children and adults don't concentrate on
their studies and also, children always busy in playing games so, they never go out to
play outdoor games such as Football, Cricket, Badminton etc. It has adverse impact on
their lives.
12. Steps to avoid social isolation
Exercises – Involving oneself with physical, socially interactive, and mental
exercises aside from technology allows one to interface more with reality than
virtually or any other purposes.
Management: keeping up a positive and inviting condition for those who are
suffering from social isolation, enabling them to meet up as a gathering and
seeing gathering treatment.
Organise yourself and also create one program where all nears and dears leave
their mobile phones in the container for the night they are spending together.
Try to more concentrate on books, novels etc. than mobile phones.

THOUGH, IT BRINGS THEM TOGETHER ON THE SOCIAL PLATFORM.
• THE RISE IN SOCIAL MEDIA USAGE HAS LED TO PEOPLE STAYING AT HOMES RATHER THAN MEETING
FACE TO FACE.
• ORGANISE YOURSELF AND TRY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN SPENT YOUR MOST OF TIME WITHOUT THESE
GADGETS AND TRY TO READ BOOKS THAN USING MOBILE PHONES.
• THE PROBLEM OF ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION CAN BE WORSEN IF AN INDIVIDUAL BECOME HABITUAL
OF USING THESE GADGETS.
• TECHNOLOGY HAVE LOTS OF ADVANTAGES WHICH HELPS US TO EASY OUR LIFESTYLE BUT
SOMETIMES, TECHNOLOGY PLAYS OPPOSITE ROLE, IT STARTS HARMING US.
