group venture capital investments worldwide. Also a
dedicated philanthropist, Hilt Tatum IV supports
numerous charitable organizations, including Save
the Children.
In a recent release, Save the Children announced
that it presented its 18th annual Peace Prize party in
Oslo, Norway, where the Nobel Peace Prize was
awarded in December. The event was set on an
outdoor stage and hosted 6,000 school children, as
well as Nobel Peace Prize recipients Malala Yousafzai
and Kailash Satyarthi, who shared stories and
answered children’s questions.
3. During the one-hour program, children learned about
the Nobel Peace Prize winners’ efforts to promote
education and protect children’s rights.
According to Save the Children, children’s right to an
education is currently being obstructed in more than
70 countries, due to factors such as war and global
conflict, which cause extensive damage to learning
outcomes and educational systems. The organization
notes that the recent Nobel Peace Prize awards
represent an opportunity to motivate leaders, further
condemn attacks on education, and give students
hope for the future.
