5. Managing Your Time Working students should be careful to avoid enrolling in too many classes. Job and scholastic performance will suffer if a student is overburdened. Students who wish to enroll in more than 18 hours during a regular session must have the schedule approved by the Academic Dean or Counselor Students should allow at least three hours preparation and study time for every hour actually spent in class. Approval is based on a variety of factors and each student’s unique circumstance is taken into consideration.

17. How To Pay For College Tuition invoices are not mailed. Students are expected to make arrangements to initiate payment at the time of registration. Tuition installment plans are available for all terms. ( www.hccs.edu) Students may pay on line. HCC uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to protect personal information when using the internet. Students may pay in person at the time you register, by check, cash, and/or money order. Bank cards are also acceptable i.e. Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express. You may not use a non-USA credit card.
