Lunar New Year, also known as Tet, is one of the most important festivals in Vietnam celebrated in late January or early February. Tet is traditionally celebrated with families cleaning their homes and decorating with flowers in preparation. Families will reunite to enjoy traditional dishes and give money to elders to wish them health, success, and happiness for the new year. The Ao Dai, a traditional Vietnamese dress, is commonly worn during Tet celebrations. Modern celebrations now also include activities like watching fireworks and television programs together.
