Research Component Aims To conduct transdisciplinary, multi-institutional, multi-country and site-based Ecohealth research to generate new knowledge and innovative solutions for addressing specific problems related to agricultural intensification To link research with knowledge translation and capacity building of young Ecohealth researchers in countries participating in the FBLI program.

Capacity building <ul><li>1: To develop and implement graduate degree training programs in ecohealth </li></ul><ul><li>Masters / PhD, Mahidol University </li></ul><ul><li>Regional module in Ecohealth </li></ul><ul><li>2: To nurture and support the development of early-career professionals to become future leaders in the field </li></ul><ul><li>Certificate short course on ecohealth developed and launched among universities in the region </li></ul><ul><li>86 future leaders trained through certificate course, and 30 trainees received seed funding for ecohealth practices </li></ul>

Capacity building Regional Training of Trainers (ToT) & research training delivered by ecohealth experts 24 master trainers (trained by ToT) from 4 countries 20 researchers from 4 country sites implement ecohealth research and action learning Master trainers deliver future leaders certificate (86 students) & other courses (e.g., EHRC) Institutionalization of certificate and degree courses in host universities Master trainers deliver degree program (Mahidol University) Ecohealth research projects disseminate results to policy makers and other stakeholders

Training of trainers workshop & research support </li></ul><ul><li>Target groups: a) faculty, mentors, and other field trainers who will be responsible for developing the graduate and certificate programs, b) researchers, and country-level facilitation/mentoring in participatory action research </li></ul><ul><li>Workshops in Bangkok and in China </li></ul>
