Cinematic Language • It is a set of methods filmmakers use to tell a story. • It is same for the viewer as storytelling is for a listener. • Two approaches to convey information • Explicit Meaning : Gives audience the exact information. • Implicit Meaning : Open to interpretation of the viewer. • Communication between filmmaker and audience is the main idea.
