Wrote elementary school health education program grant to NYS Health Department.
Implemented and coordinated training/curriculum and follow-up for nine schools. This
program remained in use with a process for updating the classroom “kits” until 1998.

• Wrote two state grants to expand visiting nursing services to reduce hospital stays.

• Conceived/fundraised/implemented countywide glaucoma screening program with Bassett
Healthcare/Lion’s Club. Program still reaches 200 patients annually.
