Ventures that are thoughtfully planned
are more likely to succeed than those
based primarily on guesswork and
hope. The PLANNING process helps an
ENTREPRENEUR identify exactlty what
needs to be accomplised to build the
venture, and what human and
financial resources are required to
implement the plan.
3. 3 types of planning
Strategic - is about determining the
direction in which you want to take your
business.
Tactical – occurs after a business, team, or
individual has created a strategic plan that
outlines general goals and objectives.
Operational – can be defined as a plan
prepared by a component of an
organization that clearly defines actions it
will take to support the strategic objectives
and plans of upper management.
4. ORGANIZING
Organizing involves assigning tasks,
grouping tasks into departments,
delegating authority, and allocating
resources across the organizations...
Organizing is highly complex and often
involves a systematic review of
human resources, finances, and
priorities.
5. Importance of organizing
It creates a frame work needed to
reach a company’s objectives and
goals. Organizing is the process of
defining and grouping activities, and
establishing authority relationship
among them to attain organizational
objectives.
6. controlling
Planning is a process by which an
organization’s objectives and the
methods to achieve the objectives are
established, and controlling is a process
which measures and directs the
actual performance against the
planned goals of the organization.
7. directing
Directing refers to a process or
technique of instructing, guiding,
counselling, overseeing and leading
people towards the accomplishment
of organizational goals. It is continous
managerial process that goes on
throughout the life of the organization.
9. staffing
Is the managerial function of
recruitment, selection, training,
developing, promotion and
compensation of personnel. Staffing
may be defined as the process of
hiring and developing the required
personnel to fill in the various
positions in the organizations
