USA in Space is a media space interest group dedicated to reporting and furthering the United State of
America’s interest in a space presence and space exploration. Covering government, public and private
space innovation.
Founder, Web Master, Reporter – Founder. Manages and maintains USA in Space’s web presence
including creating domain name, WordPress website, Facebook pages, and Twitter account. Attends
and reports on NASA events, such as SpaceX and Orbital ATK launches, and the International Space
Station Research and Development Conference. Met with many leading individuals, including NASA
Administrator Charlie Bolden, Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana, SpaceX President
Gwynne Shotwell, President of Orbital ATK’s Space Systems Group Frank Culbertson, Cosmonaut

IS and GS Passport Program Lead – Lead for the IS&GS Passport project team that updated,
coordinated and maintained a SAP Netweaver based web portal used by 35,000 employees, 5
product lines and 10 business areas. Established a consistent look and feel over multiple business
areas that reduced the overall cost of development and deployment while enhancing and
standardizing the end user experience. Coordinated efforts with HR and the AD team that solved

active directory (AD) issues, creating a batch system that automated new user access and removal of
users that no longer had access. This increased processing speed and overall security.
Automated testing – Generated automated tests on the generation suite of applications used by
Lockheed Martin proposal teams. Using C# code in 2012 Visual Studio to create both Coded UI and
Selenium based automated tests. Through well designed tests was able to significantly decrease the
number of defects that passed through to UAT. Mentored test team members. Established
processes to track automation progress which eliminated duplication of code, created coding
standards and streamlined the process.
Proposal work – As a subject expert, led LM and contactor team for web software and hardware
integration on an IRS proposal. Provided design solutions, RFPs, BOEs, BOM, and schedule inputs for
Green, Gold and Red teams in a very fast paced, high pressure environment. Created well written
technical proposals that passed straight through to final approvals with very minimal changes.
IS&GS Content Management System Project Lead – Responsible for the workload scheduling and
projects that reside on the OpenText RedDot server; Ensured the site was up and accessible,
managed permissions of project and content owners, trained content owners, assisted in trouble
shooting user and developer issues and tested/implemented software upgrades. Converted many
HTML based websites to content managed based sites.
Web Lead and Developer – Worked as a team lead and as a developer on a number of web-based
projects using a wide spectrum of tools and software applications. Utilized products such as, but not
limited to, HTML, ASP, ColdFusion, CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, C#, Office Studios and WordPress.
Involved in the developed/management of web-based applications that provided a variety of
functionality, such as portals, data search engines, information blogs, user forums and informational
gateways. Effective team building skills amongst diverse groups by creating a cohesive work groups
as demonstrated with a project between Lockheed and the US Air Force Electronic Systems Center
Command and Control and multiple subcontractors. Coordinated the program development
between Lockheed Martin and subcontract developers in the fast-paced Strategic Airport Security
Rollout (SASR) that effectively minimized overall development and code redundancy.
C2Portal Project Administrator – Provided IIS server administration and was responsible for IIS Web
Deployment, Security and Monitoring. Created processes that ensured maximum web uptime using
backup systems, failover processes and watchdog guardian systems. Limited the need for additional
personnel through ability to build and configure both server hardware and software, including OS
and network functionality.
PRAGMATICS | WASHINGTON D.C. METRO AREA (1995 - 1996)
Headquartered in Reston, Virginia. Pragmatics, Inc. provides state-of-the-art IT services and solutions for
the federal government and civilian agencies. Provides software engineering and systems integration,
systems engineering, information assurance, program management support, and IT infrastructure
management. At SEI CMMI Level 5 and ISO 9001:2008 and 27001. 2013 revenues of $198.7 Million.
Network/Windows Migration Manager – Responsible for MARAD at the Department of
Transportation; Led a team tasked with migrating Novell DOS users to a Networked Windows NT
based platform with IP addressing to the internet. Was able to utilize DHCP to remove fixed IP
addresses allowing for standard system images. This sped up the deployment of new user systems
and the reconfiguration of old systems, almost eliminating user downtime and decreasing the
number of needed support staff.

Technical Consultant – Consultant for the Office of the Inspector General at the Department of
Treasury. Consulted on the development and implementation of a plan for WAN environment
comprised of NT servers with Windows workstations utilizing SMS, SMA (BackOffice).
Project Lead Developer – Lead developer on a project for the Department of Energy that formulated
the IT development specifications for the ORION project. Designed a complete phased
implementation strategy for setting up a large scale Windows NT base WAN at the Oakridge, TN site.
