Activities :
a. Pre listening :
1. Teacher introduces the story. (refer to TB 43)
2. Teacher shows pictures on power point slides.
3. Get the pupils to talk about the pictures.
4. Show the story on power point slides.
5. Pupils listen carefully.
6. Asks questions to check understanding.
b. While listening and speaking:
1. Teacher shows pictures one by one.
2. Get the pupils’ attention to the words given below each picture.
3. Guide the pupils to make sentences using the word given.
4. Teacher distributes picture cards.
5. In groups, pupils practise making sentences for each picture.
6. Then, pupils combine the sentences to form a complete story.
7. Get the pupils to practise telling the story in groups.
8. Invite the group leaders to tell the story.
9. Teacher provides guidance if necessary.
10. Encourage pupils to give each other peer feedback.
11. Comment on their work and give them suggestions for improvement.
c. Post listening-speaking:
1. Pupils work in the same group.
2. Guide the pupils to predict the ending of the story.

2. Get the pupils to talk about the pictures.
3. Teacher shows the story on power point slides.
4. Get the pupils to read sentence by sentence.
5. Ask questions to check understanding.
6. Go through the meanings of the difficult words with the pupils.
b. While writing:
2. Show pictures with words to the pupils.
3. Allow the pupils to practise construct sentences orally with guidance.
4. For low proficiency pupils, encourage them to use simple sentence.
5. Teacher distributes task sheets.
6. Pupils work in groups.
7. Pupils writes sentences based on words and pictures guidance.
c. Post writing:
1. When the task is completed, pupils display their task sheets on the wall.

from the story.
2. Asks a few questions. (Where was Alice? Who was with Alice? How was
Alice felling at that time? What did Alice suddenly see?
3. Get the pupils to read the text. (TB page 52).
4. Asks questions orally to check understanding.
Practice:
1. Teacher tells the pupils that this story can be written in a dialogue form.
2. Teacher gives example by putting up a dialogue on the board.
3. Divide the pupils into two big groups.
4. Assign characters to each group.
5. Get the pupils to read the dialogue in groups.
6. Teacher distributes task sheets.
7. Tell the pupils that they will create their own dialogue for Alice.
8. Guide the pupils to create the dialogue.
9. For low proficiency pupils, get them to fill in the blanks with the correct
words or phrases.
Production:
1. Once all the groups are done, get the pupils to act out the dialogue.
