Overview
I am an experienced Programme and IT Manager with a strong delivery track record which has been gained
in the Public Sector, Manufacturing, Financial Services and Utilities sectors working with blue chip
companies such as the NHS, Nationwide Building Society, Norwich Union, PowerGen, Unisys and
Network Rail.
My recent experience has been as a lead manager, used to forming and managing multi-disciplinary teams
of Project Managers, Consultants and Technical Resource that deliver across the traditional reporting and
management boundaries of a large company. I am xxperienced in managing projects and operational
environments with values of up to £10m and up to 20 professionals.

Senior Infrastructure Project Manager
A4e is undertaking and upgrade to its network and server infrastructure. These upgrades include:
New SAN and NAS implementation
Email migration and archiving from Lotus Notes and Echnage2003 to Exchange2007
Virtualisation of 40 servers

Infrastructure Project Manager
Post the procurement of PI and CCP by GMAC, the integration of networks, servers, desktop and support
outsourcing environments was undertaken via a programme of IT projects. As a manager within this
programme I had responsibilities for the delivery of the following areas:

IP Re-addressing to new VLAN
Server rationalisation and data migrations to new infrastructure – Desktop and Server

CPA Global (July 2006 – Nov 2008)
WAN and SAN Global Project Manager
CPA has undertaken a large investment in their IT infrastructure via a programme of IT projects. As
manager of this programme I was responsible for the delivery of the following projects:
New Data Centre build-out
Server rationalisation and data migrations to new data centre
Global Citrix Upgrade
Implementation of EMC and IBM SAN infrastructure in Jersey and America
Server upgrades in France, America and Australia
Provision of new corporate backup system
Other responsibilities at CPA included:
Management of outsourcing of desktop and server support in Australia and America
Due diligence and integration of CPA acquisitions in Germany and America
New office build out and migration
BR Suite build out and system Business Continuity testing
Dell (November 2005 – Oct 2006)
Programme Manager
Responsible for Wintel, SAN, Desktop and Server infrastructure projects at various Dell customers,
including education authorities, local government, aerospace and distribution.
Other areas of management responsibilities include business engagement, hardware planning, testing, and
deployment, 3rd
party supplier management of other Project Managers, resource profiling and P&L
responsibility.
Littlewoods Home Shopping (January 2005 – July 2005)
Desktop Delivery Manager
Responsible for the migration and integration of 10,500 users across two companies, including the rollout
of W2K, AD, Windows2003 server and Exchange2003
Other areas of management responsibilities include business engagement, migration plan, testing,
deployment, 3rd
party supplier management, member of RFP team for hardware procurement (25%
reduction on current prices) and resource profiling.
The role also includes the management of seven Project Managers whose projects include all business
moves and changes, a Greenfield relocation of 1,100 users and business initiatives.
Network Rail (September 2001 – January 2005)
Infrastructure Project Manager
Migration manager for the rollout of XP, AD and Windows2003 server to a 15,000 user base.
Responsibilities/input includes implementation proposal, migration plan, testing, deployment and 3rd
party
supplier management.
Management of AD/XP infrastructure for the in-sourcing of 6000 personnel. Technologies include
SMS2003, Exchange2003, Windows2003 Server and EVA SAN environments.
Management of delivery for the re-location of SANs and 50 servers to a new data centre. This included
resources, deployment, design, profit and loss accountability and business management interaction.
Management, co-ordination and integration of projects within the infrastructure environment, including ten
SANs, 350 NT and 60 Netware Servers serving user population of 13,000.
Management of multiple Project Managers within integrated areas of work.
Customer and service management to the Business.
Unisys (September 2000 – September 2001)
Project Manager/Interim Operations Manager
Central co-ordination and integration of all projects within the infrastructure environment.
Operational Management of 80 IT Staff across a 6000 user base accessing five SANs and 150 servers.

Heading up an eleven man team that facilitated the support and development of all on-line systems at the
Sheffield Head Office and satellite branches.
This role also included the budgetary control, planning and implementation of all hardware and software
installations as well as the organisation of the day-to-day support.
Other responsibilities included staff recruitment, training, budget ownership and liaison with third party
suppliers.
The planning and co-ordination of the rollout of 8000 NT4 and WARP PCs across all of Norwich Union’s
sites as part of an £11M project.
Operational Management of 80 IT Staff across a 6000 user base accessing five SANs and 150 servers.

The role also includes the management of seven Project Managers whose projects include all business moves and changes, a Greenfield relocation of 1,100 users and business initiatives. Network Rail (September 2001 – January 2005) Infrastructure Project Manager Migration manager for the rollout of XP, AD and Windows2003 server to a 15,000 user base. Responsibilities/input includes implementation proposal, migration plan, testing, deployment and 3rd party supplier management. Management of AD/XP infrastructure for the in-sourcing of 6000 personnel. Technologies include SMS2003, Exchange2003, Windows2003 Server and EVA SAN environments. Management of delivery for the re-location of SANs and 50 servers to a new data centre. This included resources, deployment, design, profit and loss accountability and business management interaction. Other responsibilities included staff recruitment, training, budget ownership and liaison with third party suppliers. The planning and co-ordination of the rollout of 8000 NT4 and WARP PCs across all of Norwich Union’s sites as part of an £11M project.
