EXPERIENCE Robert Bosch GmbH January- December 2017
Charleston, SC (Spring, Summer & Fall) Manufacturing Engineering Co-op
Shop Floor Management Cycle (SFMC):
Construct the weekly SFMC analysis to improve the OEE percentage by adding new projects and tasks on the
Open Projects List dealing with the technical problems encountered, which is reviewed and updated on a
weekly basis. This enhances the line utilization and eliminates waste by dealing with topics directly related to:
Technical & Organizational Downtimes, Scrap & Rework, Production Changeovers and Overtime.
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
Generate the KPI to review the production cost with respect to the volume produced to maintain the cost per
part on target: Costs reviewed and analyzed include: Tooling, Maintenance, Materials, Scrap and Overtime
Cost.
Process documentation and updates:
Process documentation that includes Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI), a set of instructions that
is intended to standardize shop-floor procedures to maintain quality. Release Quality Alerts (QA) to notify
about quality issues and concerns that arise on the production line to detect and confine the problem through
sorting, performing capability studies and taking the appropriate actions.
Automated Robotic Color Sorting Machine Spring 2018
Designed and developed a cell that orients Lego bricks in the desired position so that they could be later
picked up and transported by an Adept robot to be color sorted and placed in their dedicated slots.
PROJECTS Zoller Presetting and Measuring Machine Fall 2017
CNC tool pre-setter and inspection machine to replace multiple manual gauges, while utilizing the tool
management software that stores the tool characteristics and measurements in the machines database.
