speech and picking outone of the quotes
that resonates with them.

Being able to write their own PEE paragraph – Ss will be shown an
exemplar PEE paragraph, and they have to apply their own quote that they
believe is the most powerful and write their own paragraph. Sentence
starters will be provided.

Homework and practice:
• Write a script for show ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’, showing the feud
between the servants of the Capulets (Sampson & Gregory) and the
Montagues (Abraham & Balthasar).
• ONE family has to use modern insults and ONE family has to use
Shakespeare’s archaic insults
• You can use verbal & gestural insults
• At the end of the feud, Jeremy Kyle has to come in and break up the
feud, just like the Officer does.
• DUE Thursday 3rd

Lesson Plan pro forma Class: 8NE (mixed ability sets) indicate levels of attainment Date: 26/2/2016 Time: 12:20 – 13:25 No. of pupils: 28 Unit /SoW: Romeo & Juliet Shakespeare Unit Key Learning Goals: ref. to exam board criteria/NC as appropriate … in pupil-friendly format: LO: To analyse the Prince Escalus’s speech and Romeo’s imagery using PEE analysis Expected Learning Outcomes: all pupils? some pupils? a few pupils? All pupils will be able to write a PEE paragraph,looking atPrince Escalus’s speech and picking outone of the quotes that resonates with them. Opportunities for Assessment: Formative & summative Formative  Picking outtheir own quotes from Prince Escalus’s speech and reasoning  Writing their own PEE paragraph Cognitive challenges: Desirable difficulties for all abilities; how will students progress? Being able to write their own PEE paragraph – Ss will be shown an exemplar PEE paragraph, and they have to apply their own quote that they believe is the most powerful and write their own paragraph. Sentence starters will be provided.   • 2. • Write a script for show ‘The Jeremy Kyle Show’, showing the feud between the servants of the Capulets (Sampson & Gregory) and the Montagues (Abraham & Balthasar). • ONE family has to use modern insults and ONE family has to use Shakespeare’s archaic insults • You can use verbal & gestural insults • At the end of the feud, Jeremy Kyle has to come in and break up the feud, just like the Officer does. • DUE Thursday 3rd March
