Morgan Advanced Materials (MGAM) is one of the largest UK
manufacturers of carbon and ceramic products for industrial
use. EASTWEST PR was appointed to generate media exposure
during its senior executives Shanghai visit in June 2014.
Approach
EASTWEST PR proposed a press event held during this visit in
Shanghai, and delegated 3 bilingual PR consultants to be onsite
throughout the entire event to help with media reception,
onsite media management, event hosting, and facilitating one-

Morgan cars Breaking into the Chinese market
Brief
Malvern Morgan Cars (Beijing) Co. Limited, the appointed general
dealer in Beijing from Morgan Motor Company in the U.K. is
announcing the opening of its 1st flagship showroom located in
Beijing. EASTWEST PR was appointed to help organize a press event
for Morgan Cars’ showroom grand opening in Beijing on June 18
2013.
Strategy
EASTWEST leveraged a comprehensive PR approach to increase
Morgan cars’ brand awareness among a wide range of local media
from general business to the Auto industry, spread the news that
Morgan cars can now be purchased in China through its appointed
general dealer Malvin Morgan (Beijing) Co., Ltd within a period of 6
months, as well as announcing Morgan Cars’ “China 250 wings”
Campaign with WheelsPlusWing to drive more attention to the
Morgan brand. The agency was also coordinating with the British
embassy in Beijing to have the British Ambassador attending the

Britain’s internationally renowned AGA Rangemaster Group,
known for 300 years of innovation and design, held its China
launch event at China World Hotel in Beijing on 27th March.

In October 2014, Professor Dame Julia Goodfellow, Vice-
Chancellor of The University of Kent, one of the top 20
educational institutions in the UK, led a delegation to
Beijing to learn more about China’s policies and priorities
in higher education in order to inform Kent’s own future
direction. EASTWEST PR was appointed to design a three-
day China Campaign, and help maximize this visit of
activities with both local media and relevant stakeholders
for the VC delegation in Beijing.

UAE Zayed Future Energy Prize China Outreach Campaign
Brief
The Zayed Future Energy Prize, an annual award of $4 million prize,
is established by the UAE leadership to recognize and reward
excellence in renewable energy and sustainability. Launched in 2008
and managed by Masdar, the Prize represents the vision of the late
founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan
Al Nahyan.
Approach
EASTWEST PR took a holistic communication approach to tackle
these challenges from both PR and non-PR perspective. The overall 6
months campaign covered communication through a whole range of
media, social media and digital channels, and fully utilized a high
profile VIP dinner event that the UAE Embassy held in honour of
Mr. Wang Chuanfu, winner of the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award

prior to the Smart Grid Word Forum (SGWF) taking place in

SolarMax’s Swiss Quality Inverters on Display at the
2012&2013 SNEC Expo
Brief
SolarMax, the world’s leading Swiss manufacturers of grid-
connected solar inverters, exhibited at 2013 SNEC PV Power
expo in Shanghai. EASTWEST PR was appointed as SolarMax’s
local PR agency to build its brand image in the Chinese

tourists, and linking HK businesses to mainland tourists.
Approach
A series of PR activities were planned and conducted around
the launch of this new portal, via both general business and

Edison Capital Partners Annoucnning 100-million-dollar deal
Brief
EASTWEST Public Relations, through Binsfeld Corporate, was commissioned by
Edison Capital Partners to promote the 100-million-dollar brokered loan amongst
Chinese and English language press. The objective was to raise the company’s
profile in China’s financing sector and develop opportunities for visibility.
Approach
EASTWEST was given one week to arrange media interviews which required
immediate media relations efforts to ensure the maximum media attention in
addition to compiling the necessary documents. EASTWEST flew down to Shanghai
and worked to get Edison Capital Partners noticed by implementing the following

Platinum Whisky Investment Fund - Targeted capital raising
campaign
Brief
In 2014, the Platinum Whisky Investment Fund embarked on a
capital raising campaign with a target of US$10m and a
minimum subscription of US$250,000. The challenge was to
generate high investment interest during the fund
management team’s short visit to Hong Kong.
Approach
In order to generate awareness among local media about this
campaign, a targeted media relations programme was
develped to help raise awareness of the fund and the capital
raising campaign. We promoted the fund to both the English
and Chinese financial media as a strong, unique investment
asset.
The programme was designed to showcase the knowledge of
the fund’s executive management team and their global
whisky trading networks through a coordinated series of
broadcast and print interviews.
Results
This resulted in extensive media coverage including broadcast
