I have over 30 years of experience in the railroad/transit environment. My experience has been with
manufacturers, transit authorities and operators in Boston MA, Newark NJ, Sanford FL, New Orleans LA,
Philadelphia PA, Washington DC, Chicago IL, Toronto ON, and San Jose CA. Experience includes light rail
vehicles (LRV), subway cars, commuter rail passenger coaches, Locomotives, Amtrak’s Superliner II railcars and
Amtrak’s Acela high speed rail equipment.
I have managed all aspects of fleet procurement and deployment, including specification and contractual issues,
production, delivery, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and warranty work Additionally, I have worked for
railroad operators in Both San Jose, CA and Boston MA. My most recent position was the Deputy Chief
Mechanical Officer at Keolis Commuter Services in Boston, an operation with a mechanical department workforce
of over 600 people. As District Manager of the Boston high speed rail facility, I had over 100 staff and a $4+ million
dollar budget to manage and maintain. As Deputy General Manager for Caltrain in San Jose, I had over 100 staff
and an $8+ million dollar budget to manage and maintain. Most of my experience is working with ‘State of the Art’
technologies. State of the art equipment utilizes the latest innovations on railcars in today’s markets.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Keolis Commuter Services, Deputy Chief Mechanical Officer Dec 2014 – October 2015
• Responsible for New Fleet acceptance from MBTA Rail Vehicle Engineering to Keolis Mechanical for
Motive Power Incorporated locomotives and the Rotem coach cars.
• Responsible for Engineering Services, procurement of addition mechanical services from the MBTA
• Oversee and manage all training, contract compliance and regulatory compliance
• Implement Life Cycle Maintenance program across entire revenue and non-revenue fleet
• Support the materials department in purchasing materials to help increase the reliability of the commuter
rail rolling stock

• Responsible for the production team that assembled Multilevel coach cars, customer inspection and
shipment to New Jersey Transit
• Responsible for the production of Chicago subway cars, in-plant modifications, customer inspection and

• Responsible for all aspects of Mechanical Department operations for this commuter agency
• Responsible to audit fleet of coach cars and Locomotives to determine the State of Good Repair
• Documented the State of Good Repair to protect the company interest
• Identified a maintenance plan that addresses deficiencies identified in SOGR audit
• Re-trained an existing Amtrak workforce into a working team to produce a high-quality product.

Maintain Amtrak’s Acela High Speed Equipment
• Responsible for training the staff and maintaining the Rolling Stock
• Designed and implemented an advance training program for the crafts. This program gave them more skills and
cross craft training. They took more responsibility and produced better quality work as a result of this training
• Responsible for the transition of the maintenance for the New York and Boston facilities back to Amtrak

tests, Automatic Train Control (ATC) tests, EMI limit and interference tests, propulsion accel/decel tests in
11.5kv 25hz 60hz and 25kv 60hz from Boston to Washington

My experience has been with manufacturers, transit authorities and operators in Boston MA, Newark NJ, Sanford FL, New Orleans LA, Philadelphia PA, Washington DC, Chicago IL, Toronto ON, and San Jose CA. Experience includes light rail vehicles (LRV), subway cars, commuter rail passenger coaches, Locomotives, Amtrak’s Superliner II railcars and Amtrak’s Acela high speed rail equipment. I have managed all aspects of fleet procurement and deployment, including specification and contractual issues, production, delivery, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and warranty work Additionally, I have worked for railroad operators in Both San Jose, CA and Boston MA. My most recent position was the Deputy Chief Mechanical Officer at Keolis Commuter Services in Boston, an operation with a mechanical department workforce of over 600 people. As District Manager of the Boston high speed rail facility, I had over 100 staff and a $4+ million dollar budget to manage and maintain. As Deputy General Manager for Caltrain in San Jose, I had over 100 staff and an $8+ million dollar budget to manage and maintain. Most of my experience is working with ‘State of the Art’ technologies. State of the art equipment utilizes the latest innovations on railcars in today’s markets.
