Career History to date
Sept 2015 to Date local access network engineer for MJ Quinn, to provide telephone line
service for home uses to small business for voice, Data and Internet use.
Dec 2008 to Sept 2015 PC hardware break fix engineer for DCGI & Equanet (Dixons
Group) Main duties to visit customers home or business and carry out diagnostic / repair
of purchased PC & Laptop Computers, install software, setup networks including Wi-Fi. I
have also carried out large-scale rollouts for MOJ Ministry Of Justice and DOH
Department Of Health Via Equanet.
Sept 2006 to Aug 2008. Perfect Partners Hair & Beauty Salon. Owner / Manager of a
successful business for 2 years.
May 2006 Sept 2006 Support Engineer (Hewlett-Packard / Foreign & Common

2005 – 2006 Technical Consultant (CSC / BAE Systems)
Main duties were to assist with (DTR) desktop refresh from NT to Windows XP. Fix
software / hardware faults arisen from refresh, ensure users have all software required i.e.
business critical application, to ensure users are in correct groups within active directory.
2001 – 2005 Installation Engineer (Steria LTD)
Main duties for customers such as NPD, MOD, DWP, and CPS were the installation of
desktops, laptops, WIDS. Setting up Windows 2000 XP work station / server, Citrix
systems. Installation of Dell, HP, Compaq Server’s, switchers & routers. Carrying out
wan cutovers, fault diagnostics, ghosting machines patching network ports.
2001 - 2001 ADT Fire and Security (Tyco) Sales Security Consultant:
Duties included a high level of customer contact, establishing a good customer relation.
Advised customers on design and development for the best solution to suit the customer’s
security needs, provide detailed costing and after sales support.
2000 – 2001 Computer Technician at Knowsley Community College Work experience:
Assisting the college technician team to migrate the existing Windows 95 network to a
Windows NT and NT Workstation Network, given full administration rights and
privileges in order to complete migration and testing. Assisted with their day-to-day
problem solving, diagnosing and repair of faults both in software and hardware. This
opportunity was initially sort term but due to the high level of knowledge and enthusiasm I
was able to continue assisting the team of college technicians in addition to completing the
course.
1986 - September 2000 Qualified Vehicle Technician:
Worked as a qualified vehicle technician in three large companies; Nissan, Ian Skelly,
Liverpool; J Blake & Co Limited; MC & C Motor Engineers. My role within these
companies was fault diagnosis, service and repair of vehicles to high standards.
