(HIPPA) with an outsourced solution. Cloud Storage became a compelling solution
for them when combined with the Riverbed Whitewater appliance. Cloud storage
offered scalable, resilient infrastructure with predictable costs, while the Riverbed
Whitewater, because it integrates seamlessly with the Savvis Storage API and
existing customer backup systems, was able to assuage their regulatory concerns by
assuring data integrity, in-flight and at-rest encryption, and detailed logging of data
transfers.
