  10. 10. The portraits also use different lines to show the expressions of the people in the pictures.
  11. 11. When creating realistic portraits, it is important to know the basic facial proportions and balance.
  12. 12. What is proportions?
  13. 13. Proportion refers to the relationship in size and placement between one object and another.
  14. 14. The face is divided into four sections: 1. the upper right 2. the upper left 3. the lower right 4. the lower left
  15. 15. The upper portion includes the: eyes eyebrows hairline
  16. 16. The lower portion includes the: nose mouth ears
  17. 17. What is balance?
  18. 18. Balance involves the distribution of facial features in a portrait.
  19. 19. Balance can be symmetrical or asymmetrical.
  20. 20. There is symmetrical balance when the facial parts on the right side are the same in shape and sizes on the left side.
  21. 21. There is asymmetrical balance when the facial parts on the right and left sides are uneven in shapes and sizes.
