"Bruce" came in on Friday afternoon with an infected epidermoid cyst. He has severe cystic acne and sees a dermatologist for medications. Unfortunately, his dermatologist could not work him into her schedule to take care of the infected cyst.
So Gonzo and I rolled up our sleeves and went to work. This lesion treated us to a fairly good explosion! We were able to utilize the curette sent to us by "Yellow Jacket Sue" and remove a lot of scarred-down material from the evacuated space.
The entire procedure took 28 minutes but I've edited it down to a more reasonable 12 minutes or so for your viewing pleasure. We were fortunate to have recorded the infected cyst explosion on a second camera so I worked that into the final video. Plus I've got both explosions on super slo-mo for those of you who really enjoy the drama of it all!
