Modern software containers provide a virtualization model that OpenStack, as originally conceived, was not designed for. We are now faced with trying to determine the appropriate path forward for managing disparate virtualization models in increasingly hybrid business settings. In this presentation, we look at the possibility of treating OpenStack as "just another containerized application" running with Kubernetes as the container operating environment.
